I think I got what the kernel of Evolution is: karma

Ok well.

I have been debating Evolutionists for some time now and I must admit at times I have despaired. But recently I had a breakthrough where I used a context Evolutionists were not familiar with (the matrix), but which they couldn't rule out (because of doubt). Basically it turns out that behind the idea of Evolution is a statement of karma. To them, being evolved is what they "deserve" for all their hard work waiting for time to pass. So it is in fact the strong delusion the Bible warned about (what the Lord will do about it is another matter).

The point is, we can actually show them that we understand karma, and that we still acknowledge sin, and that therefore no amount of karma is good enough without Jesus. The connection is vague how ever, and I doubt you could pin them down on the fact that they are tempted to call the matrix karma, when evolution has no obvious causal link to it. Obviously you could manufacture one, like maybe asking if they think its possible to improve their karma if they evolve inside the matrix.

I think the fact that the matrix has no causal link with Evolution presents a bit of a problem at the same time though, because faith in Jesus is pointedly not science fiction and it would be some time before they began to consider that treating other people like they are programs that spit out evolutionary karma is a bad thing to do. But at least its a start.

Beyond that I really don't know what to say, its been so long since I had a breakthrough that it almost seems like that is all I will ever get. But it has been worth it, I have really learned how to discipline myself and follow the Lord's leading and really chase after something, which is rare for me. I feel like I can accomplish more, as a result.

Hopefully this is news to you.

You had a breakthrough in the sense that pretty much everybody expressed the fact that they wish you well (as do I).

I don't think anyone understood the point you were trying to make, however (I certainly didn't).

Basically it turns out that behind the idea of Evolution is a statement of karma.

I really don't think that's true.

If you feel led to engage in these debates, perhaps you can follow some more standard apologetics approach, which might perhaps be better understood?

Looks like you are confusing evolution of the body via natural selection with evolution of the soul via reincarnation. Not the same thing at all. For one thing, the latter (for those who believe it) refers to the history of an individual--one soul through many lives. But biological evolution can only occur in a population. Individuals per se do not evolve. Biological evolution is not karmic in any way.
