  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

John 11:26: "And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

To most of us never is a very long time. It is interesting to note that the Greek word translated here as "never" is a Double Negative. My! How is that for empahsis? It is of even more value that Jesus is the One Who said it. Jesus used a double negative to emphasize that we, who believe in Him have eternal life, and shall never die.

Thank You, Father, for not only the gift of eternal life, but the revelation of these Words of Jesus, in Whose Name we give thanks and praise. Amen.

i think something else to consider...I that everyperson we meet today is an eternal being (be it eternally rejoicing in the lord or eternally facing His wrath). Everything else will pass away, our homes, our jobs, our possesions. But people will live on. The person that cut you off on the hiway has an eternal destiny. The clerk at the convience store has an eternal destiny. Your next door nieghbor, your mailman, you best friend all have an eternal destiny.
I pray that the Lord will help me to remember this each day.

Yes Ed! And when the attitude you exhibit here on this board tonight, sweeps through our Churches and homes and Internet Boards like this and encompasses all of God's Family throughout the world, Jesus will come to take His Bride home. For then He will have an obedient Church, who will be rid of the spots of ugliness, and predjudice, and haughtiness and pride, and rid of the wrinkles of Doctrinal debates, and Heresey's. Then He will have a Church whose hearts are filled with the love He commanded us to have.

God's Peace. Love and Blessings to you Ed, and may He send the same Spirit to work in the hearts of all His children.
