I See The Babies!

We got a lot of rain this week, so I have not been in my garden. Today the sun came out so I peeked in. There are baby peas on the plants! Baby tomatoes--lots of them! and a flower on the eggplant (surprised by that it has been very cold here).

We did a wintr garden for the first time this year. Oregon has mild winters usually. I found a winter pea and we have actually picked a small first batch. But we are having 80-90"s this week and the bloom might stop!

I would be happy with the 80 degree weather, it is memorial day weekend and it has been in the 40s at night. A few nights we thought of putting on the heat....

although, I wouldn't be happy with a sudden increase in heat that would hurt my peas.

Nothing here yet, just nice looking plants so far.
BUT, I'm very excited about my morning glorys, they're blooming and so pretty!

Oddest thing...one of my chrysanthemums has mature buds on it and now has two blooms. I think it's been the very cool weather we've had. Apparently, it believes it's fall. The other chrysies are forming buds. Hopefully, the weather will now stay warmer so they won't flower. I enjoy they're show in fall.

We have a lot....It is very exciting...seeing all the new growth.....OUr eggplant is not doing anything..... I like eggplant...

My son's pumpkin's are growing real good, no blooms yet.

Wow, I have never grown pumpkin before. Do they take a lot of room?

In my garden this weekend are a ton of tomatoes, I can't believe it!!! And baby cucumbers---although the leaves are yellowing and wilting ): !

My bean plants have nothing on them but man have they sprouted quickly!
My sugar snap has no flowers, but they are over 4 feet high! Soon, soon, soon...

I CAN"T WAIT ANY LONGER!

My tomatoes are flowering. My lettuce is nearly ready to pick. The yellow squash is up. My phlox, daylilies, blanketflowers, iris, pansies, roses, dianthus, brown-eyed susans, and impatiens are in bloom.

I can't wait. Especially for the real tomatoes!

Don't you just love it seeing those "babies?" I do too! I have baby tomatoes from marble to golf ball size! WOOHOO! I can't wait for them to be ready!
