Hi all. Hamlet here. I also respond to Ham.
I describe this as returning because I signed up for this forum a while back, because I felt a need for getting myself some Christian companionship, even if only on the Internet. Most of my real-life companionship in my parish is significantly older than I am, so there's a bit of a disconnect there. I miss the connexions I had with other young Catholics when I was in college (secular college, but had a wonderful campus ministry).
That said, I'm also interested in making friends of any faith, so long as it is not hostile to Catholicism. I may also be interested in some friendly and respectful theological dialogue, though that'll probably be more with Orthodox folk rather than Protestants, as I've already gone through the Protestant wringer.
Hobbies: I write fiction, primarily sword-and-sorcery and science fiction [ask me about my Catholic Left Behind idea, though]. I also play contrabass guitar (also known as 6-string bass). I'm not exactly in a band right now; it's more of a semi-regular project to jam that just started up last week.
I'm currently working in customer service, which translates to too much stress for just enough pay (for living with my parents). I'm also a catechist (with my father) at my parish, and Assistant Scoutmaster for a special-needs Boy Scout troop. How that happened is a story in itself. Anyway, nice to meet y'all.
