I am from a household which worships the false God of Hinduism. Throughout my childhood I believed that God existed, but I didn't know who he was. The religion of my parents never gave me any answers. I always wanted to know who God was and whether I'll ever see Him, and I wanted to know whether there was an afterlife. In my school, we learnt about all the major religions including Christianity but we were given brief introductions and I wasn't ready at the time to seriously consider Christianity.
It was only recently when I saw a video of a street preacher who was arrested for preaching against homosexuality here in the UK. I was linked to it from an article from a left wing news site which slammed the man as a homophobe. I wanted to see what he had to say. I expected to be outraged. But that's when I heard the Gospel. The man I think said something along the lines of "We were all created by God. God is perfect and since we were made in his image, he expects us to be perfect. He outlined to us what the sins were. The price we have to pay for our sins is to be eternally separted from God in Hell. However, God loves us so much in spite of the sins we commit against him, in spite of the hate we show, that he sent his only begotten Son, who is fully God and fully human, to pay the ultimate sacrifice on the cross for our sins so that anyone who puts their trust in Him alone will be forgiven of their sins. They will begin a new relationship with God and God will turn their heart of stone into a heart of flesh."
This message answered everything for me. I wanted to know more about Jesus Christ. I wanted to know more about who God is. That's when I started doing some more research. And now at the age of 18 I am ready to start a new life with my faith in Christ. I want to tell everyone but it will take time for me to be accepted. Maybe I'll never be accepted. But that won't matter since I know I have just received the greatest gift of all- I have received Jesus Christ.

What a great testimony! Glory to God!
