Thanks, Dayhiker, for the reminder that stress hormones make controlling the mind very difficult.
Thanks, Blackribbon. Prayers for the complications in your life. When my injuries heal, which I think will only be a couple of weeks, I'm considering paddling my kayak out on a lake and refusing to come in until everyone on the planet agrees to either behave or be quiet. I have two kayaks. Your welcome to come. I'll let you use the best one. As for the writing, I'm going to find a way to get it done, hopefully and prayerfully sooner rather than later. Prayers always appreciated. Beth Moore (though I'm not claiming to be the next Beth Moore), actually had literally one thousand people praying for her when writing When Godly People Do Ungodly Things, because the attacks from the enemy were so bad trying to prevent it. And I have a very old note from a sermon years ago that says, "Any word blessed by God will come under attack." Though I know that when the attacks come it is because our Dad has a reason to allow them, and that reason is for resulting good, I think prayer helps to keep us standing and moving in His direction, rather than giving up.
Thanks, Doc. Yes, when I pay rent next week I will put a note in requesting that he call and save the trip--and the lawsuit--well, I won't mention that. But I did look online and though tenants have few rights, he managed to violate two of them by doing that. I don't think mentioning it at this point is prudent. Hopefully, just like the broken mower on my part, this outburst and lack of good judgement was a fluke on his. Meanwhile, today is a much needed day off and I'm refusing to evacuate, though it was tempting. I put a note on the door that says I'm resting my injured leg and not answering today.
Thanks, all, you're the best,
