Yeah but remeber the parents, curfews, and all that. I would never return to my childood because you are so NOT in control of anything, where you live, go to school etc...

Yes, but sometimes, you just want someone else to take control, and make a few decisions for you. Life was so much simpler then!

I would never want to go back either, but I think this is a reminder that sometimes we need to slow down and play. I have two male friends who are so stressed out right now and I hope this puts a smile on their faces. Actually one responded by asking me how he could collect my car keys, credit card bills, and 401 K statement. I'm not sure he wants my credit card bills though.

Like ebl said, it's not a serious wish to return to childhood. It's a reminder that we should appreciate the simple things in our lives and take time to enjoy the blessings we have rather than strive for things that will come in time.

When we were kids, most of us couldn't wait till we were "grown up." Now that we're grown up, we realize that we had a lot of fun things and less responsibility. But as adults, we're overlooking a lot of the fun things going on (or that could go on) in our lives, focusing on the temporary headaches and problems in our lives.

In short, we should stop and smell the roses while they're in bloom.

Thanks for the thoughts ebl.

We can get so busy traveling down the freeway of life, we forget to pull over and smell them roses (or daisies or petunias or dandelions or fresh mowed grass or whatever plantlife is growing...) and throw water balloons at each other!

Many the time I wonder when we was growing up we got so busy or was pressured to get busy to be responsbile and adults we forgot how to be kids.

My ex told me I needed to act my age after acting silly with my sons one time on a day out with them. I take that as a compliment!

Plus, as I told her once, a lot of the guys my age are either dead or boring - i dont want to be either one! :p

thanks, EBL for this reminder.
