• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

i didnt take up smoking until i was about 19, i was mainly only a social smoker but eventually it turned into smoking more frequantly, i was never a heavy smoker i was about a pack every 3 days which isnt too bad but its still smoking doesnt make a difference. but i decided to quit about 2 months ago and am doing quite good, i have had one smoke on 2 different occasions the last being a month ago, so im pretty sure i have quit for good. for anyone who has not being smoking for long, stop while you can do so easily, i am still only 21 so only 2 years since my first smoke, it was really easy for me to quit so i say to anyone who has not been smoking long that you might as well nip it in the bud and quit now because the more you prolong it the harder it will be.

Good for all of you on quitting smoking. This is my first day of not smoking after a year of smoking. I quit once before for 16 years. Don't know why I picked it back up but I am really sick of it. It's smelly, it's an obsession, it's expensive and I want to stop. Good luck to all of you with quitting. We can do it.
