I pray for god to give me happines and make my day Holy but instead i keep getting mad

I pray everyday every morning and every night for the lord to give happiness and make my day a holy day. But instead of getting happiness i get mad and it doesn't feel like god is answering my prayers.

When I left the Charismatic movement and joined an Anglican church in 1978, the curate told me that after three weeks, I will become as mad as the rest of them, and he was right! And I have remained so all these succeeding years!

Have you read the book of Job yet? If not, I recommend it.

I’ve struggled with anger issues my whole life. I would pray and pray and pray that God would give me peace. Each day I woke up feeling angrier than the day before. But one day, I woke up and I felt happy. I felt a genuine peace that I haven’t felt in years. I believe God gave me that peace I was praying for.

Keep praying, keep thanking God for each day, spend time in His word, and when you feel anger just take those angry thoughts captive and turn them around to praise God. I know it’s one thing to say this, and another thing to do it, but each day praising God is a step closer to the perfect peace God promises.

“You keep him in perfect peace who’s mind is stayed on You.” Isaiah 26:3

Well the emotion of anger is usually caused by a sense of wanting justice. So yes, you want answers and aren't getting the answers you want. I would think anger would be normal in this situation.

God has already completed his work in Christ and it's time for you to know that you are loved and accepted and holy in him.

If you hold to the attitude that:
"I'm just a poor sinner, and nothing at all,
But Jesus Christ is my all in all."
Then your faith is in Jesus Christ and not in anything to do with yourself. If you have believed the gospel and received Christ as your Saviour and Lord, then you can have the assurance of salvation. Sanctification is another matter. We grow in grace and in holiness as we progress along the Christian life. When we reach our capacity and start to feel satisfied, God increases our capacity and so we feel dissatisfied, As a result we seek God afresh in prayer and His Word and so our growth continues. If we became totally self-satisfied, we could stray into self-righteousness instead of trusting in the righteousness of Christ.

So, sanctification and holiness is "already", but "not yet". God sees us as fully sanctified and holy in His sight, but we have to work at it every day to make it a reality when we finally meet the Lord face to face.

Perhaps, you are asking God for something He didn't promise to give you and missing out on what He has already given you through faith in Jesus Christ.

So your focus is on you, which is normal. So you need to try to be more Gospel-centered. When we understand how sinful we are, we can see how great God is in sending His Son to die for us. Then we can compare the “sin” of others towards us (waking you up, in this case) to our sin against God. It pales in comparison. And then it helps us to treat others as Christ treats us.

Being in the word regularly helps us to do that because the gospel has power and it’s delivered through God’s word.

I deliver newspapers at night for like 3 hours and sleep during the day so i don't play as much videos games as i used to in my past but yeh i'l take that into consideration

Oh that's good to hear. Maybe the sleep/tired issue is the sleeping during the day?

Could you create a new routine of sleeping. Ie bed at 11pm, rise at 7am or something like that to begin with?
