You don't even know what that means, obviously. Unconditional election simply means that God's election of a person was not based on anything within them, no quality of personality or actions foreseen. His choice was based on His own good pleasure, which He has chosen not to reveal. His choice was not based on their foreseen performance, but solely on His own Purpose and good pleasure. He chose them because it pleased Him to do so.

I know what it means.

It is directly contradicted by scripture.

God judges us based on our actions.

We are saved by grace through faith and works.

That's your Catholic Dogma talking.

True, and it is the bible(a Catholic book!):

Romans 2
6God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”7To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

Matt 7:21
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Gal 5:6
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

My scripture was perfectly relevant.

Paul tells us that we must press on for the prize, which is eternal life.

Why did he say this?

Your scripture was a non-sequitor in answer to my post. As such, it was NOT relevant.

But you are not offering me any kind of Biblical example or Scripture to believe your side of the argument, though.
Your just stating opinions here.

...
It's plain I'm sure to everyone but you.

I am not even going to take the time to refute it because that would mean it had merit.

Why did Paul tell us that we must press on for the prize?
Sin is always a negative to our spiritual lives.

We are wanting to live the life Christ died for us to have. A life of spiritual abundance and a relationship with God Himself.

It is not only about the afterlife, but God is with us NOW.

Paul knew that.

It is about the afterlife.

Gal 6
7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give

Because if a man does not press on, he falls back, and stagnates.

And his soul is in jeopardy.

1 Cor 9:27
26Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; 27but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

2 Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?

You have one verse to prove its only about the afterlife.

Your missing the prize bud

That's a very Platonic/dualistic/gnostic view. Material world=bad. Spiritual world=good. You do realize that eternal life, according to Christ, is knowing Him, and it begins at regeneration.

I have multiple verses.

1 Cor 6:9
9Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:21
and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 5:5
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a person is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
