  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi all. I'm going through a period of uncertainty in my life. I want to always know that God is pleased with every decision that I make and that if Jesus were to come at any moment, I'd be ready. Right now, I'm feeling distant from Him and need prayer support. I need to know what the right thing that I should do would be and then I need to have the courage and assurance to do it.

I think that at your age, what you have described is a part of the spiritual journey that can only be learned by living. I think everyone in their late teens and early 20s feel the same way. God has a very...unpredictable way of accomplishing things. Oh that he would fill us in on what direction he wants to take us in. It doesn't seem to work that way though. So for now, spend time in the word and in prayer every day. The key, the trick is to stay faithful. Perhaps you are on the eve of the storm, or the proverbial climb up the roller coaster that is fixing to plunge you into supersonic chaos. Just hang on and keep doing your best. It'll all work out. It feels good to finally step out on the other side.

I think we all try to fool ourselves to say that we are always pleasing to God.We all make mistakes, and fall, but God is always willing to pick us up,and make us new again.
And if we fall we don't start at the begining again, We start right back where we fell.
Sounds like you'r in a place where you are needing to grow, but growth is coming slower than desired. Here is a little passage for ya.
JAS 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
JAS 1:3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
JAS 1:4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
JAS 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Take your time. You have been saved, and the blood of Jesus has covered you,and the enemyt is trying to bring doubt in your life to turn you away from the goal.Fix your eyes back on Jesus, and walk on in faith.
You have been saved by the mighty Jesus:D

I hope this helps

To me it sounds as though you might be a little bored also.  I suggest if you have any activities at your church, like choir, to join.  Even if you can not sing, I am sure that they are not goin to tell you to leave.  For everyone sings a different melody to God, and he hears it as a sweet voice.  I will pray that you overcome this feeling of confusion.  Just remember... God does love you...

Quiet Storm,
The best way to know if we are doing what God wants us to do is by reading His Word, following what it tells us we should be doing, and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach, and guide us in all things.

A couple scriptures pointing to the Study of Gods Word

John 8:31-32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

A couple scriptures on the leading of the Holy Spirit

1 John 2:26-27
These things have I written unto you concerning them that would lead you astray. And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you; concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

I will be keeping you in my prayers
