Finding a church that turns you on is a very personal experience so you really should do your own shopping. It's very risky to ask people you don't know for recommendations. You'll probably run into a Morman missionary. On this site you'll run into alot of partial Christians who don't realize it and probablly won't realize it until the rapture is over.

To save some time here's what you can do.Look under "churches" in the largest yellow pages directory you have.Eliminate any denominations you have negitive feelings about but NOT ones you've never heard of.Then call up the churches closest to your home.If you get an answering machine,it's a small church. If that's what you want, leave your number and the minister will probably call you back.Whoever you talk to first, ask them this question,"I'm trying to find the Holy Spirit.Do you know if He is at your church?"It's important that you use those exact words or you'll get hung up on.If a secretary tells you she needs to check the membership list, hang up.If someone tells you that the Holy Spirit does attend the church,a good follow-up question is :can I come to your church and receive personal prayers for healing?Since Jesus spent a third of His ministry healing the sick, churches that don't have divine healing services, are practicing an unauthorized alteration of Christianity. From there you can ask for any information you need to make a good personal choice.Examples are:How big is your youth group? Are their any openings in your choir?Do you have small group bible studies?Does your minister speak out against abortion and the war in Iraq? etc, etc.By conducting this type of telephone survey, you'll greatly decrease the amount of time you need to spend going to churches that are spiritually dead,unChristian,or not right for your needs.

www.calvarychapel.com/affiliates/ I can suggest this link with all the same considerations as the protestant minister said. I have been to a lot of Calvary Chapels and they have all been good, but of course how do you know my good is your good. Most fundamental baptists thing Calvary is too charismatic and most penticostals think Calvary is too conservative.
