"Ever" is a very big word, Seashale.Didn't read past the first page. The possibility of it ever being an issue is likely slim. My nephew is in the Boy Scouts and my BIL is a troop leader. It's not an issue that they have personally ever encountered.

I believe you that a lot of people have not hitherto encountered it. A lot of people in Poland before 1940 might never have encountered a Nazi, either.

The problem that Orthodox Christians should have with the traditional boyscouts is that they were modified to allow gays to participate?

Considering homosexuals are a very small percentage of the population and usually aren't tolerated among the majority- regardless of whether they're in the Boy Scouts or not? The most involved troops across the country come from areas where they'd just as soon beat up homosexuals as to look at them- and that's the truth.
No, Gurney. I am saying that before 1940, Nazis in Poland were not a common site. After 1940, they ruled the country. Many really did not foresee this, a lot of people thought appeasement and compromise would work.
By THAT, I am saying that an unthinkable thing can become, not only thinkable, but the actual fact of the matter. Clear enough?
I understand your illustration but it seems a very poor one. The Nazis were not a common site because they were the German national socialist party. After the Germans went into Poland and conquered it, they were all over the place and extended their dominion. In 1939 both the Germans and Soviets invaded it. They took the country by force, not some slow and steady infiltration of Poland as they did using Nazi youth corps in Germany itself plus steady propaganda. So in Poland we see a use of force and suddenly, bam, you're a Nazi state.
In the case of the Cub Scouts, you have the possibility of gays entering the scene. And are you likening the idea of "right now we don't have hardly any gay scout leaders and few gay kids in it, but before you know, bam, it's 2022 AD and the whole Cub Scouts is nothing but SSA-attraction folks?

Never said "nothing but SSA...". I said it only takes one to bring the issue up, one kid who's been taught by stupid parents that he might not actually be a boy, or she might not actually be a girl. And THAT will soon be seen in MANY, if not most organizations, on regional and local levels. Once one is there, discrimination, lawsuits, and the law will be on their side against us.

The Orthodox Church allows gays to be members, so by that logic we are approving "sodomic desires and attitudes".
