My husband and I have been together for over 14 years and I know it is hard to believe, but we really had an awesome relationship. Both he and I are Christians and prayed all the time. About a month ago, without warning, my husband came home and told me he was leaving me for a man. He left and has been living with this man now for about a month. I tried to talk to him about what he is doing and he told me that he has prayed for God to take away his thoughts of homosexuality for many years, and he told me that he feels that what he is doing is right an that God will forgive him. I need immediate prayers because the longer my husband is away, the more he feels that he is a true homosexual (because his male lover is convincing him that he is) and I feel that there will be no hope unless I have a lot of prayers. I forgive my husband and I feel sorry for him because he was abused sexually when he was young and I know that that is what has lead to his confusion. I pray that you all will understand him and his condition and have mercy on him and pray for immediate intercession of the Holy Spirit to intervene. Please pray for me and for him and pray that he will turn away from the sin he is committing before he is so caught up in it that there will be no turning back. I am in need for as much prayers as all of you possibly can give me. Thank you all in advance and God Bless you for taking the time to help me.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
