I have been hunting all over this board trying to figure out where to post this..if this is the wrong forum please direct me to the right one. thanks.

I have only visited a charismatic church in the past a few times...and maybe visited a pentacol church before,,I am not sure though since I am very ignorant of these type of churches...since I wasn't raised in either these type of churches were very different to me.....so I am pretty ignorant about some things so if I say something stupid, just excuse me and explain please! While in our bible studies we have studied the spiritual gifts and I have read them in the bible myself, I have never truly witnessed them...other then the stuff you see on TV and I have alot of doubts about that but I don't want to offend anyone so I won't say anymore about that.

Being raised in very conservative churches no one ever excised any spiritual gifts. But the thing is I may have what is called the Word of Knowledge from 1Cr 12:8 and I haven't the foggiest idea what to do with it. And yes I have prayed about it...what do I do with this Lord and He directed me here and said that someone was waiting on my post...I don't know..I just do what He says...lol.

Before I go on..I guess I need to know if this is the right forum or not...thanks!

God bless

Mate, it all comes down to what you want to accept and truth or false.

There are many false gifts in churches, and sad as it is far too many major in things that become a big sore on people's faces.

Just be very wary, and don't let anyone overpower you with false teaching and beliefs.

We are given the Spiritual Gifts if we desire them. You are like a fish out water, so don't let anyone badger you or berate you.

And as I said be very wary, there is a lot falseness in the Body of Christ these days.

If you want to talk, then PM me.

Be blessed in Jesus' Name.

Hey thanks for your reply. I don't attend any church at all right now and haven't for over a year. The last church I attended was very conservative...so I certainly didn't get this idea from them nor do I watch any TV preachers. I am very aware of the false stuff going around...no one is pressuring me on this or badgering me about this at all. Thanks for your concern though about that.

This is something I recently posted about on another board because I didn't know what it was...why I knew things I couldn't possibly know and its been going on most of my life. I kept it to myself all these years because it could be rather unnerving at times. Finally I posted about it and was told it could possibly be this spiritual gift. From what I learned its not a popular gift at all...telling people things about themselves they don't really want to hear...knowing when someone is going to die...knowing when a person missing is dead..who wants to hear things like that?

So right now I am just trying to figure it all out then what to do with it...

God bless

1Cor12:8 talks about the word of knowledge used in a corporate setting. Perhaps it's time to pray for and find the local church that you are to be a part of.

When I prayed about this the Lord told me this was for unbelievers and then I found this passage:

1 Corinthians 14
23 Even so, if unbelievers or people who don’t understand these things come into your church meeting and hear everyone speaking in an unknown language, they will think you are crazy. 24 But if all of you are prophesying, and unbelievers or people who don’t understand these things come into your meeting, they will be convicted of sin and judged by what you say. 25 As they listen, their secret thoughts will be exposed, and they will fall to their knees and worship God, declaring, “God is truly here among you.”

Only thing is I don't know of any churches around here that do this..and I wouldn't have any idea what to do either.

Many years ago I was talking to a friend and I don't know what happened..I just started telling him things about himself that I couldn't know...even things he didn't want to admit too himself. It just all poured out of me. I was in my late teens or early 20's I don't remember now. What I do remember is the look of terror on his face and then it sunk in what I did. I felt so embarrassed because of his reaction. It happened one other time and I got the same reaction...fear because I knew things about them I shouldn't have. I didn't know what this was or what to do with it so I just stuffed it away for most of my life. I also know things like I said about missing people that I hear about on the news. Like on this other forum a pray request was posted for a missing teenager...I prayed and the Lord told me this boy was dead...drown. That just wounded my heart so much...when I know like that. I pray and He tells me so many times they are already gone...or He says, she is with me..like that. If I don't hear Him, then I have hope they are still alive and can be found ok.

I don't understand why I need to know such things...I don't know what to do then other then to change my prayers which isn't by much...I am still praying they be found...whether alive or not..and praying the Lord comforts and encourages the family in this terrible time.

Several days later his body was found floating in the lake..:( I asked God why, why, did I need to know this...I didn't know this family...but I do know not knowing where your child is, is worse then knowing they are dead. Its not knowing what happened...that would be sheer torture..not knowing. Finally He told me they weren't looking in the right place to find his body...my prayers were to find his body...so they could have closure. I still don't fully understand it all though.

And most people don't want to know the truth about themselves either..the deep down buried put away things...people lie to themselves all the time. Few want to know the truth about themselves...so I don't know what to do with this gift. How knowing these things helps anyone. That is why I came here...to learn about this gift and what to do with it.

I can send a PM to anyone that wants confirmation about the missing boy with links on it if needed.

God bless

How sad.
There is information that God gives us that has different mailboxes we can send it to. You learned what happened when everything was given out bluntly. If you every get a check in your spiirit to withhold parts of what you know, make sure you do it! And then the rest will make more sense.

If we follow the general guidelines of ethics and wisdom in scriptures, there is advice to exercise caution and courtesy. While telling someone, you can be careful of who you say it in front of. What parts you leave out.

And then this gift can be combined with prayer, where you know just enough about someone's situation in order to pray effectively. There might be times you know and never tell the person. In my early years of Charismatic involvement, people blurted out everything and told each other to do the same. A lot of people were hurt.

And yes, you're right -- it's hard to do it in certain fellowships, or with people who don't think it should be done. But there are ways you can word things that deliver love and thoughtfulness, not just blunt information. It might seem that everything should be communicated verbatim, but ask God before you do it, to give you the words.

Thank you for this...your post shows my ignorance of this! As I said before I was not raised in a church that exercised these gifts and at the time I did this I wasn't attending any church! I didn't know what I was doing. Its like suddenly having a great physical strength and not knowing it and picking up an egg and crushing it and then wondering what happened? That is how I was. This all just poured out of me...I had no idea it was from God or what it was...I was very confused and frightened myself! Since I didn't know what it was, I didn't have the sense to call on God for any guidance about it either. See the information you have given me is all new...I have never attended a church that does this...never seen it done by anyone except myself! I wouldn't even know what church to go to here that would accept this...nor would I know how to put it in practice. If I found a church that had members doing this...I still wouldn't have a clue as to what to do...so I would probably just sit there and do nothing..:o

In the last church I attended I knew all sorts of things about many of the members of the church...I knew many of the ladies didn't like me one bit either and I found out later they were excluding me from get togethers are each others homes...:( I never said anything about what I knew though...there would be no point in it... it would just make them mad and cause hard feelings....I finally just quit going....:(

This is why I isolate myself so much because I pick up so much from people that it can be difficult. When I was younger it used to be emotions I felt from others and it overwhelmed me. Now its better..well somewhat. Do you have any idea how hard it is to be around people when they are giving off all these emotions and I know these things I shouldn't? They are talking about one thing but inside all these other things are going on and I know it?

its like this. Everyone puts on a face for the world. People cover and hide the parts they don't want the world to see. The worry, the pain, the confusion...the doubt about themselves or other things. So they put up this wall to the world...which no one can blame them. Who wants to walk around with their every thoughts and emotion out where everyone can see it? yet I do. I see the face they put on but I see inside too. Because I see the inner person alot of the things I say even in a normal conversation I find I am speaking to the inner person and they don't want to hear that...so I get the odd looks...the looks of confusion, fear, of 'you are a freak'...and I get rejected socially. People avoid me...and yea that hurts. :( I have no real friend except on the internet. But even the internet doesn't hide what is inside of them.

This is so hard to explain and I am sorry if it makes little sense. The point is here...I do NOT know what to do with this. I really don't. I don't fully understand it and was hoping someone could teach me about it...what is it for..what do I do with it to the glory of God?

Thanks.

God bless

Then what's the word of knowledge? Who, what, where? Or do you want the gift? The answer you hear might not be the answer the heart wants to here.

You tell me..that is why I am here. What is the word of knowledge? I have tried doing some studying on it and about all I know its to show nonbelievers proof of God..

1 Corinthians 14

25 As they listen, their secret thoughts will be exposed, and they will fall to their knees and worship God, declaring, “God is truly here among you.”

Who, what, where?
I don't know what you mean by this...sorry

Or do you want the gift?
Do I have a choice? Wouldn't it be wrong to reject a gift the Holy Spirit gives us? Right now I just want to learn what it is! And what to do with it.

The answer you hear might not be the answer the heart wants to here.
ok...though all I am asking is for information about this gift and I wouldn't think it would be wrong to want to learn what scripture says...

1Co 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
1Co 12:8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 1Co 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
1Co 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
1Co 12:11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

The word of knowledge is supernatural revelation, by the Holy Spirit, of certain facts in the mind of God. It is the God-given ability to receive from God, by revelation, facts that is in the norm humanly impossible for us to know anything about.

A word is just part of a sentence so a "word" of knowledge is just a small fragment of God's knowledge. He gives us as believers a “piece” of His knowledge regarding a particular circumstance or situation.

God has all knowledge. He knows everything, but He does not reveal everything to us. Revelation cohere is Him speaking to His people at the right time. If the Lord wants us to know something, He will reveal it to us. We don't need to know everything.
Many of us have been given revelation that has been stored up in the memory banks of our minds, but we never share it or use it to bring Him glory. When the Lord brings revelation to us, we must ask Him what He wants us to do with it. Should we speak it forth, or should we hold it in our hearts?
It’s not always wise to blurt out everything we know, the Lord may tell us not to do so. We must be wise and use wisdom in all that we do and say.

We must also learn to walk in the knowledge that has already been given to us. Knowledge will not benefit the kingdom of God unless we have wisdom to use the knowledge according to His leading and direction.

1 Cor. 13:9 – For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

The Word of Knowledge and the Word of Wisdom often work together.

The Word of Knowledge brings revelation regarding the past and present.

Some purposes of the Word of Knowledge:

1. To lead souls to Christ.

In John 4:5-18, Jesus said, “Go call your husband, and come here.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”

Jesus used a word of knowledge when he spoke to the woman at the well. He spoke to her about her present and past condition. The word of knowledge led her to believe on Jesus.

2. To reveal sickness or to be used in healing ministry.

3. To build up faith in someone for healing or whatever ministry they have come forward to receive.

4. To restore the believer back to fellowship with God.

5. To provide encouragement.

6. To reveal demon possession or oppression.

The Word of Knowledge can come in a dream or vision or interpretation.

Daniel 2 - Nebuchadnezzer had a dream. He didn’t know the meaning of the dream. Daniel was called in to see if he had understanding of the dream. Daniel prayed to the Lord and the interpretation of the dream was given to him.

Acts 10:9-20 Peter received a vision from God. The Lord spoke to him and said, "three men are looking for you." Peter was not aware that anyone was at the door of his home. The Lord spoke this information to him by a word of knowledge.

The Word of Knowledge can be used to find lost property.

1 Sam. 9:19,20 - Samuel told Saul that the donkeys that were lost had been found.

1 Sam. 10:21,22 - The Lord told the people where Saul was hiding.

Jesus Himself operated in the gift of the Word of Knowledge:

Luk 19:30 saying, "Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.
Luk 19:31 And if anyone asks you, "Why are you loosing it?' thus you shall say to him, "Because the Lord has need of it."'

Ananias receives a word of knowledge from the Lord.

Act 9:10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, "Ananias."
And he said, "Here I am, Lord."
Act 9:11 So the Lord said to him, "Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.
Act 9:12 And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight."
Act 9:13 Then Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.
Act 9:14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name."
Act 9:15 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.
Act 9:16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake."

There were supernatural manifestations in the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament.

2Ki 6:9 And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, "Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there."
2Ki 6:10 Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.
2Ki 6:11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, "Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?"
2Ki 6:12 And one of his servants said, "None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom."

The word of knowledge was given to warn a king of the enemy's plan of destruction. The King of Syria was making war against Israel. The Lord spoke to His prophet Elisha and revealed the enemies plans.

1Ki 19:18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him

The word of knowledge came to enlighten and encourage a discouraged servant. Queen Jezebel was out to kill all the prophets of God including the prophet Elijah. She told Elijah that she would have his head also. Elijah sat under a juniper tree and begged God to let him die. He thought he was the only prophet left, but the Lord told him otherwise. The Lord told Elijah, God told Elijah, "You aren't the only one left. I have 7,000 who have not bowed their knee to Baal."

Word of Knowledge can reveal sin or corruption in the church:

Act 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.
Act 5:2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Act 5:3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
Act 5:4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
Act 5:5 Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.

God revealed to Peter that Ananias and Saphira had lied.

We need to hearers of word from the Lord. We should ask the Lord to activate gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives so that we can bless others in the body of Christ. With His knowledge, we can set the captives free. The word of knowledge should be speaking words in due season that will bring life to those who hear it.

Joh 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

OK! Your seating around minding your owen bess wax's and somebody walks up to you and say's "Your kids into drugs and God's about to knock him on his backside. Be of good cheer the end of the event is to be to the glory of God." this and the word of wisdom are close. I fine the word of wisdom will say "Don't go on your trip" and the plane you would have been on fell from the sky. So to speak.

Thank you Irene. I won't take space quoting you, but what you said is very helpful. I would add to this:
Seek the Lord, seek the Lord, seek the Lord.

Spend as much time as you possibly can worshipping, praying, meditating and being in His presence. Seek to understand His love -to know and feel His love. Knowledge without love can lead to arrogance, but love edifies, builds up, encourages, nurtures spiritual growth, and yes, sometimes chastises. Sometimes the gift of knowledge is not for pronouncement to others but to give you wisdom in how to show love.

And always, always test the spirit. 1 John 4:1&2 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you will know the Spirit of God; every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God...

You can ask, "Spirit that is giving me this message, do you confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh?" If you are filled with a "YES!" and words of praise to the Lord Jesus Christ you can trust it. If there is silence -don't act on it.

I found the book "Understanding Prophetic People" by Loren Sanford very helpful. It explains a lot about the weirdness of people with revelatory gifts, the rejection they experience, how the gifts can and have been misused, the refining process, and suggests necessary discipline in how to act properly in love and wisdom.

There is false stuff out there, and we are all vulnerable to being influenced by the world, the flesh and the devil, but there is real stuff too and I think we need to focus much more on the goodness of God than on the deceptiveness of the enemy. Glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ who came in the flesh! God is soooooo good!!!

God bless you. May the desires of the Lord Jesus Christ be your desires as well.

Thank you, Irene for the thorough teaching on word of knowledge and word of wisdom.

Whitestar, Although it must be difficult with all of the revelation you are recieving, the gift that you have been given in very precious. You have access to the innermost thoughts of God. Something that only those with true intimacy can be entrusted. God must trust you with the information or He wouldn't allow you to see. Your heart must be pliable and teachable. Many desire what you have, but would misuse the gift for personal gain.

I also agree with Tsadde. Pray, Pray, Pray, Pray Pray. Seek God and ask Him to show you what do with the information. Is it for intercession? Is it to witness? Is it to correct?

Recently my pastor said that God shows him many things in the spirit that he does not choose to reveal to others. He said that God tells him what to say and when. He shows him many things because they are intimate friends. He said that sometimes it isn't time. Sometimes it is to pray.

Abraham was a friend of God. God revealed many things to him including the fact that He was soon to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham launched into intercession on behalf of Lot appealing to God's mercy and righteousness to spare if there were just 10 righteous in the city. God responded to Abraham and Lot was delivered.

Ask God what He wants you to do with the gift and ask for wisdom. He gave you and He is faithful to show you how to use it for His glory.

I think you gave out some really great information on the gift, but without being a critic here, I wanted to comment on just the one area in blue.

This was a predictive statement from GOD, not a statement of current and past facts, which would make this statement from GOD a word of wisdom.

Paul references this predictive aspect also,..

Romans 11:5 (NKJV) Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Hey thank you all! And may the Lord bless each one of you...I was starting to lose hope that anyone was really going to help me here...but yet again He reminded me I wasn't being patient enough...one of my weaknesses.. and something I pray for all the time! All I know is He directed me to this forum to be taught about this. We know many times He works through other people...so that is why I am here. :)

I have been slow I know in telling you everything about myself..afraid I would not be believed or thought a nut..especially since none of you know me and I haven't posted on this forum...I think I might have a long long time ago and I wasn't received very well. I try not to phrase my questions as challenges but I think sometime they sound like that and people get defensive which I am truly sorry about.

I am never told about anything that is going to happen in the future..the few times I thought I was receiving something from God did not prove to be true...so that probably falls into the test of the spirits that was mentioned! With the exception of knowing when someone is going to die but as I found out this is fairly common with people who are about to lose a family member or close friend...at least among Christians. Though sometimes I know when a stranger is going to die that I just see out when I am running my errands.

I also have dreams and visions quite often from the Lord..these are mostly personal for me only and not about other people. Its like my spirit is being taught by Him. I spend time meditating on Christ and am shown the most amazing things! But its so hard to put into words what I see in my mind and spirit. during this time is when I worship Him in spirit as the bible says we are to do...after I started doing that for many months, suddenly He started giving me these visions.

I talk to God nearly constantly..pray without creasing as the bible says. I do..even about silly things...He is my best friend and since I am alone except for my son who is far to young to talk to about everything..I talk to God. He already knows what I am thinking...so why not include Him in my thoughts? I do. :)

Sometimes when I go grocery shopping or whatever and am around people I just know things..many times physical things about them. While I might be looking at my list and watching where I am moving the cart, I will see someone and 'know' they are sick with something (usually I am told with what too) and I pray for them...then I move on and am getting things off the shelf and see someone else and know they are in pain so I pray for them. It can go on like this through my whole shopping trip. Very rarely do I run into someone that I know is carrying an evil in them...I see it in their eyes and I feel it. There was once..and I surely don't want to offend any Catholics on here..evil can be anywhere as we all know. Anyway last year I took my son to the fair and we were in a building eating lunch...oh the things I feel and see in those big crowds! You can image. Sometime I think if I stayed long enough the whole physical world would fade away and I would only see the spiritual world! By the time I leave I am feeling pretty unreal for sure! There is no way I can put that into sensible words. Its amazing....scary, over whemling and powerful.

Anyway I was eating and my son had gone to the restroom and I suddenly felt someone watching me and I looked up and a nun was passing by...I just catch her eyes for a second..the scowl on her face..the look of disgust towards me. She KNEW me and I knew what was in her. She quickly looked away and her 'world face' came back on. She hadn't meant for me to see her you know. I can't tell you how much that creeped me out. Other then her there was only this man one time when I took my son to the water park. He was with a young lady and a child and I saw the evil in his eyes. I prayed for the Lord to cover and protect that young lady and the little child..I really don't know what else to do. Its not that I am not knowing about the evil intents in people...the sinful thoughts and other very bad things in people...almost everyone has something going on they are either struggling with or letting control them to some degree or another...and people covered in oppression and darkness...these are more common but these two..this went way beyond that.

I don't see the future...I don't have dreams or visions about the future or know the future ..at least not in a way I could understand it to tell anyone else about. Its complicated and hard to explain..I think sometimes what I see in these visions are of past things more then anything else. The one that causes me the most grief is when I know a missing child or adult is dead. I don't know what to do with that! These are just people I hear about on the news..I don't know them..what can I do for them other then to pray for them which I would do anyway? This one I really don't understand at all. Am I suppose to tell people I know? That wouldn't seem right..it would seem like I was showing off and it wouldn't uplift or encourage anyone at all. So I am very confused as to why "I" would need to know about the fate of a missing person. How does that glorify God in anyway? If I could help the police find them then maybe that would be useful but I am not told details..only if they are still alive or not.

irenemcg...I can't thank you enough for that lesson! I greatly appericate it. I am going to save it and print it out to look over more carefully and refer too over time. I don't have the greatest memory so having it printed out will be nice.

Thank you enoch son for your post. Sometimes I do know things about other people's children..haven't really thought about it that much though...that gives me something to think about. I have spend most of my time trying to not think about what I know! Hate to say that...but I have gone 47 years knowing things I shouldn't and not knowing why! I am disabled..I have physical problems..back and low blood sugar and a learning disability. When I graduated from high school I was functionally illerate..sorry I can't spell that! I had to teach myself to read the right way! I have dyslexia and my spelling is terrible...I look up alot of words as I post..I can't do math..many words I cannot read out loud because I don't know how they sound..I am unable to sound them out. I can read them to myself and know what they mean and even type them in a sentence..but I cannot say them out loud. Anyway I went through school feeling different because I wasn't learning like other kids...and put this in the mix..I didn't want to be more of an outcast as I already was. I didn't have any idea what this was...so I have ignored it most of my life...sad to say.

Thank you Tsadde, HungryforHim and ARBITER01..I will probably just print out everyone's post so I won't forget and it will help me as I learn about this and work through it. Thank you all so much and God bless.

Being shown something is not the same as being told to speak on everything you see, dream of, or hear.
God deals with certain information on a need-to-know basis.

The gifts you have experienced are, as the context of Corinthians shows, all of a communicative nature.
A random conversation, a sunday school lesson or a sermon are all the same when it comes to revealing God's word.

The situation mentioned in Corinthians,...
it actually starts in Samuel where he tells Saul that the next day he will uncover all within his heart.
In both cases the word is actually talking about confirmations.

The concept of knowledge is something that needs to be defined.
Its one thing to mention verses, its another matter to be able to explain them.
Take a look at what CSI's do, they gather every shred of evidence and use every conceivable field of knowledge in order to recreate a crime scene.
They then eliminate all options that don't add up, leaving them with one explanation that can't be refuted.

Its the same thing that happens when one looks at a given situation described in scripture, the details are what explain the underlying concept.
The underlying concepts are continually referred to from Genesis to Revelations.

Being open to what God will show you is a potential blessing for many around you.
The word describes every last ministry to include yours, its just a matter of time before you will be aware of the rules that govern your gift, vision, and ministry.
The good news is that by following the word, you will acheive biblical results.

Thank you for that. :) Yes I guess that is what I have been trying to ask about too...the rules on this..the do's and don'ts....besides just needing to learn about it and understand it! Since that early experience where things just came out about my two friends..unexpected on both our parts..I haven't ever done this again. There was only one time a year or so ago on a message board I was giving advise to someone asking for it and I guess I went too far and didn't realize it and this person asked how I could possibly know these things...I felt very embarrassed like I did something wrong. I honestly wasn't trying to do anything except help this person. I feel like I am trying to suppress it ..I didn't know it was a spiritual gift...now that I do I feel like suppressing it would be wrong. But then as you and others have said that doesn't mean just blurting it all out either...so I still don't know what to do.

I am just going to keep praying the Lord leads me to scriptures on this as He has some already. So I know what to do and when to do it and when not too.

God bless

The word of knowledge is the reception of information that can be and is usually known to others present.
Knowing that someone commited adultry is a word of knowledge. Someone present knows it, it could have been found out by natural means. There are seveal instances of this gift in the ministry of Jesus and in the book of Acts.

Word of Wisdom is similar. The word of wisdom is the receptoin of knowledge that is not known by people present, and cannot be discovered by natural means. All predictive prophecy is of this sort. Knowing the mind of God is of this sort. Paul received his revelation of Jesus Christ in by this gift. John received the Revelation with this gift.

God bless
