I need help!

I'm not really a new Christian. In fact I don't even know if I am one. I walked with the lord for 4 years but I've fallen away from him. I knew it was wrong and wanted to go back to him from the start. I want to get back into the Bible and living for the Lord but I just keep putting it off waiting for the best time, like I want to be better before I go back to him. What should I do? I can't do it on my own anymore. Please help me...

Being a Christian isn't about what YOU do. It's about what God has done for you. Do you believe that at the cross your sins were forgiven? If so, then you're definitely a Christian!!! Because of this, you will WANT to know more about Him and what you can do to serve Him and your neighbor.

You say you want to be better before going to Him...but...the purpose of His dying was because no matter how hard we try, we can't be perfect enough. Trust in Him!

Thank you...I guess it's just hard because I know I've let him down yunno? I just I'm trying to pretend that I didn't. I know that makes no sense cause he knows all but...I'm gonna pray today and turn things around. I've been thinking about it for a long time so...It's definately time.

We all let Him down. That's why He had to come to earth in the form of man, live a perfect life of obedience and die on the cross in our substitute!! He doesn't expect us to be perfect as He already sees us perfect as Christians because of Christ Jesus!

Now, that's not to say you should avoid doing what's right and live a sinful life. Out of thanksgiving and love for Him, you of course want to do what's right! But your faith is in Him, not what YOU do since you can't live up to His expectations of you. Rely on what has happened at the cross and live your life because you are His Child.

Do not wait. Turn back to Him now.

Like the prodigal son, God will be there with open arms. Just run to Him and be drawn back into the fold.

As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ....we will still sin. We all do it. We are still human.
But, we will sin less.

The enemy is still prowling around....wanting to pull us down. He's pretty good at what he does.

But...greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Jesus is crazy about you.
Find yourself a closet....or room and fall down on your knees before the Throne of the Living God.
He loves you.
He died for you.
Of course you can come back to him....with a new little start.

No need to clean up your act before you go back to him. Just pick yourself up....and go.
He will clean you.
He already did....when you asked for forgiveness.

In the eyes of our Heavenly Father....
we are clean,
because of what Jesus did for us.

I will pray for you....after I post this.

If you blew it, confess it and accept the Grace of God and continue pursuing a life with Jesus. We all blow it at one time or another, and the enemy has a good way of tormenting us and keeping us away from the Lord IF we allow him to.
Remember
1John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and Just and forgives us our sin and purifies us from all unrighteousness"

Clean slate, fresh start. Its all good. Believe this and move on.

Remember you are a babe in Christ. Babes learning to walk often land on their bottoms. They pick themselves up and continue on. You may cry a bit because you hurt yourself, but like a child that forgets and is back up and walking again, with your Heavenly Father watching, smiling because He is happy to see you walking again.

You're not going to get better by withdrawing from Him. Staying away has the opposite result because He has the cure, and you need it. Come to Him in honesty and humility. Remember the parable of the lost son!

Remember, you can never be good enough on your own. Only God can clean you up well enough for Himself. Go to Him, tell Him you can't do it yourself, and ask for His help. He will hear you and help you.
