  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I would say your desire to seek after God automatically makes you a better Christian... although there is no such thing as a "good" Christian or a "bad" Christian. We are all sinners saved by grace for the glory of God, no matter how good or bad you were. Here's just some questions you can ask yourself in your search:

Do you read the Word? Do you meditate on it? Do you try and apply it?
Do you find yourself constantly looking for God's guiding hand in everyday life?
When's the last time you read Proverbs?
Do you pray? Do you pray throughout the day or at set times?
Have you set aside time to develop your relationship with God?
Do you know that God loves you no matter how good you are in this life?
When's the last time you just laughed at something stupid? :)
Are you trusting God to get you through this by asking for prayers, or are you wanting someone to relate to? (Look hard, this one trips me up a lot)
When's the last time you poured your heart out in worship to Him no matter what anyone thought?
Have you unconsciously been neglecting to serve others while seeking after the need you have? (This one gets me too.)

I hope something in this response made something click for you (or anyone who happened to read this :D ) Have a great day! And may God show His ways to you my brother!

praying for you. Don't worry, things will come as it comes, God will not abandone you, He loves you and calls on you to be His chosen one!

Do you go to church? it's important that you attend a group where fellow Christians can help and support you, a lone Christian would find it very difficult to cope.

moving this to prayer forum.

Now theres a scripture somewhere and Jesus talks about his yoke is easy and his burden is light.
Do you think that this burden has been put there by God, or maybe (as I used to do) Id just go about picking things up and weighing myself down. God is bigger that our hearts.
What is your burden?, do you know what it is or are you just feeling weighed down?
