When I first started reading the Bible I ran across some scripture that basically said that you should stay away from things that are unrighteous because if you were caught there you could be held accountable for their actions whether u were doing it or not. I thought it was in Matthew, but I can't find it and when I first started reading so many people throwing scripture at me, now I am trying to look it all back up.
ANy help would be greatful

Well, if you're having trouble located them, here's the method everybody uses:

Here's the Scripture you must look up:

Proverbs 27:11

First, look at the Book name. Proverbs. Then, the first number, 27, represents the chapter. The chapter number in the Bible is seen as a big number, in this case, 27 would be the big number in the Bible.

Turn to the book of Proverbs, chapter 27. Then, find the verse. The verse is the small numbers located after the big chapter number. In this case, the big chapter number is 27, the small verse number is 11.

Turn to the book of Proverbs, chapter 27, verse 11.

That's how you look up different scriptures. View the book name, turn to that book. View the chapter number, turn to that chapter number. View the verse number, turn to the verse number. Then, you can read the scripture!

Is that what you were asking? I hope I helped! ;)

The only thing I can find close to that with out more information is 2Corinthians chapter 6 verses 14 through 17 but it does not say that you will be held accountable for other peoples actions and I have never seen a scripture that says that but it does say "what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness" it tell us pretty much not to be unequal but to have fellowship with those who share the belief in Jesus because if you hang around with non christians and do not keep fellowship with Christian then chances are you will eventually be drawn back in to the non christian ways as we are influenced by things around us so we need to keep ourselves in regular fellowship with other Christians, this does not mean that you can not witness or talk to non christian because how else can you reach them but dont make non christians your social club and when you witness its good to have other christians with you as there is strength in numbers and pray about your friends and people and ask the Lord if there are people if your life you need to get away from or if there are those he can use you to reach but make sure you have christian friends.

"Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.

You may have misunderstood the scripture at the time. We are in the world and are to be lights to the world and not participate in sin. However, the apostle Paul said that he became all things to all people in order to win a few and was not afraid to rub shoulders with anybody. Think about Jesus. He was accused of hanging out with prostitutes and low-lifes by the big-shot Pharisees. If we are like Jesus, then we will be willing to be friends with all people, but not be friends with or participate in the sins of the world.

uhmm.
"aviod even the very appearance of evil"?

"blessed is man who does not walk after the counsel of the ungodly NOR STANDETH IN THE WAY OF SINNERS..."?
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness with unrighteousness, and what communion hath light wih darkness" ?

david said several times that he simply wouldnt fellowship with ungodly evil people, for a few diffrent reasons.

i really have no idea.

the best way to find scriptures that you cant find is to use a STRONGS CONCORANDANCE and to try to remember key words that are in the scripture.

like if i was looking up the first one i quoted above but i wasnt sure how the scripture went or where it was but i know the word evil was in it, i would look up the word EVIL in my strongs concordance and it will list every time that word is used and where those scriptures are in the bible. it will list every scripture that has that word in it and its location in the bible. its a great way to find needed scriptures.

Ps 1:1 (NKJV) Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

Ps 1:1 (NLT) Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with scoffers.

Perhaps this is the verse. Still this does not means we cannot interact with the world. Only that we are not to take councel from the ungodly or be like them and be idle - in their ways.

i agree there is no law of God telling us we cant fellowship with unsaved people or to aviod them altogether, but the bible is teaching the power of impartation that is taking place regardless, and yes there are situations and places that Christians do not have any business being in unless God specificly told them to go there for a certain reason.
though i really wasnt trying to argue with you.
