Hi I havent been on here for awhile sorry about that...

I have a question to ask to get some older men and women advice on something that popped out at me today...

I am a 18yr old Calvanist currently involved in a 2yr Seminary like class at my church. Through this class we get 10 to 20hrs of work a week and we meet for 5yrs every friday. It goes through alot of the essentials for basic understanding of most doctrinal questions.

Now here is my perdicament. I have been out of highschool since June and I am still on the search for a job. Plus I am going to start college in a little over a month. And today I was offered a Full Time job with GREAT benefits after 6 months to a year and deacent pay. Plus they will be flexible for College but I will have to drop my Class I am taking at church...

So the question is do I take the Job with Benefits (and I have a Pacemaker so even though I can stay on my parents insurance for 4yrs these Benefits are nicer) and go to college still full time... OR do I stay devoted to this Doctrinal Class and look for a more flexible Job?

You need to pray about this and speak with others you know to have sound judgement (especially your parents). I love theology and have a sizable library and have learned most of what I know from books and discussions with learned teachers in informal settings. It can be done.

This board is ok, but I would speak to those who know you personally and you trust.

yea I have my parents are both nudging me towards the Job... But my brother who took this same course 2 years ago is saying I need to stay in that...

Sounds like an ongoing class, so perhaps you can come back to it after college? Just an idea.....

Our purpose is to be conformed to the image of Christ and serve Him for the glory of His name. Sooo--which move would best position you (long range) for that purpose?

You need to pray about this situation as Cajun said. Simply ask for God's direction, I do this many times a day and He has always answered.

Php 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Pray, Pray, Pray, then Pray some more.
Pray that GOD'S WILL be done.
Pray earnestly that you are made to want what God wants and ask for clear direction.
God bless you and I will also pray for you.
