I loved you with all my heart and gave you all I had. We had a good life, you helped me raise my daughter from my first marriage. We enjoyed bringing our son into the world. We shared happy times, sad times, found a strong love. When you were sick, I took care of you. When it was your time to go home. I was with you, I told you "I love you, and it's okay to leave, I will be coming soon." It's been a little over three years now. I have a grandbaby, another on the way. We went to your graveside just the other day. Our son said "I love you dad, I miss you". He's already 13 yrs. old. You would be so proud of him. Now it's time to let go, and move on with our lives. I love you and I miss you. The pain is so great, but I must keep moving on, for myself and our son.

I can not imagine what you 've been through, to lose my children was bad enough, but to lose a husband.......

I pray to you Lord that you will help to heal the wounds and to help her let go, knowing that he is in a better place waiting for her when it is time. May you shine your light on all your children of this family. In Jesus name Amen.

I hope this helps.

I am reminded of a scene from a favorite 70's movie of mine, The Other Side of the Mountain, where the Beau Bridges character says to Marilyn Hasset (who is playing quadriplegic, former skiier, Jill Kinmount)as he carries her and they are saying good-bye. "Isn't it great to love someone so much that saying good-bye is so darn hard?" He is to fly back for her birthday, but his plane crashes and they never see each other again. There was a sequel called, The Other Side of the Mountain: Part II.

God bless you as you and your son honor the memory of your precious husband. And God bless you also as you both move on and say your good-byes.

And as you lean on the love of the Lord...

In Christ,

birdfriend. :prayer:
