My son Joe was in the first Gulf war in Kuwait. He came home and started having seizures related to his time there. He passed away August 18, 2002. His name was Michael Joseph Reid. Joe was almost always the biggest person in the room. He stood 6' 2". It was his heart that made him the biggest, however. He had the most amazing way of making you feel so loved and important to him. His love was always unconditional. His smile simply melted you. His spirit was so kind and loving. I miss him very much. Belle.

I'll bet you do. Your son Joe is still melting hearts, as he melted mine as your love for him is for great reason. And with you loss, this proves that you, too, have served for us all. I thank you deeply for the sacrifice that you have endured and are continuing to endure.

My hope is that your son bring you tremendous dignity, confidence and healthy pride. If you have ever doubted yourself, there is no need to do so any longer. May peace find you in droves!

Heavenly salutes for Joe and mom!
