• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A year ago I was admitted into a psych hospital b/c I was bulimic. I weighed 78 pounds. I feel so fat. I have started skipping meals and have been throwing up my food. I don't want to have to go back into the hospital but things are getting out of control.Even the cutting is getting out of control. I don't know what to do.

I am really sorry to hear of your trouble, I can offer one thing here. People telling you that you need to eat and you look fine can never be enough. Only through counseling can you figure out the real underlying reasons these things are happening to you. Yes you can pray and all that but you need to talk to a proffesional counselor, I would suggest seeing a psychiatrist rather than an eating disorder doctor. You will be amased how liberating it can be to talk to someone about your problems and fears that does not know you, you will find yourself admitting things to them you yourself did not even know. And I assure you they will be able to help you in ways you though you were beyond help. Everything will hopefully become clear to you. 14 is a tuff confusing age, do not let it get on top of you, take control and talk to a counselor asap!

confess and get help before you need to be in the hospital.:hug: you get it... don't let it get you! *prayers* ... even a little cheating is out of control and dangerous to your health. step out of the darkness and out of shame. once it's out the healling process begins. *prayers*

Please tell someone hunny, what you are doing is dangerous and you are so so young! :( You have so much more life God has for you to live don't cut His plans for you short.
