It's the same basic design as a Koch snowflake.

The idea is this: Make a line that goes from (0,0) to (1,0). Now split it into segments and move them around. Now, do exactly the same set of transformations to each resulting segment. And to each segment of *that*. And so on and so on.

What you're seeing is the upper-left corner of an 11-deep iteration on a pattern that looks like a very stretched-out sideways Z. A sharp line up, a long gradual line down, and a sharp line back up to the baseline.

I am not a big fan of Java-until recently.  But i have a question:  JAVA?  i dont' see any java there...all i see is a .png file.  please explain
