Don't get me wrong - I love John Hagee. He has a huge heart for Israel. Wins me over every time.

And there's a reason that no one knows the day nor the hour. We do know the season, though and we'd better be heads-up!

Yes:thumbsup:

But we know one thing about when Jesus is coming: Soon!

Revelation 22:20

20He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Well Lismore, if he did say you were not a Christian, you should report it. And Mike, you should report any posts that you believe are outside the rules as well.

Yes, tell him to please feel free to show where I've said that he isn't a Christian. I know for a fact that I never have and I challenge him to report me for doing so.

As for me reporting posts, I've reported several and not a thing has been done about them.

Interesting that three posters here have let me know about a new message board started by former CF posters who were fed up with the mods abusing/neglecting their duties.

What was that thing you guys told me about when three people accuse you of doing something?

Do you believe that I am neglecting my duties?

I think that, as a mod, you might have spoken up about the crap that's being thrown on me in this thread.

Like I said, I don't even bother anymore because I know that nothing's going to happen. Judging by the fact that several posters with the same concerns have started a new message board, evidently, I'm not the only one who doesn't trust the mods here.

Also, like I said, my challenge to lismore to report me for saying that he isn't a Christian is still on the table.

Well Mike, I sincerely apologize. I do not have the latitude to do that in this forum. I have thought about requesting a move to the Ecumenical team because I spend so much time here.

Now, as to the importance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I would say that if Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit and he did, then receiving the Holy Spirit must be pretty important. As essential for the empowered Christian life?

I agree with you. In fact the importance of the Baptism of the Hoy Spirit is so important that Jesus told them to wait for it before going forward.

Now, this next statement will draw some flames, but I got my flame suit on so here it is.

If Jesus told the apostles to wait on this gift before starting to "preach the Gospel" this means that (ok, here is the flame statement) that no minister should be preaching without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
And yes, the evidence of speaking in tongues.

No flames from me there. I agree with you and I believe the scriptures do as well. Look at Micah:

Micah 3:

7 The seers will be ashamed
and the diviners disgraced.
They will all cover their faces
because there is no answer from God."
8 But as for me, I am filled with power,
with the Spirit of the LORD,
and with justice and might,
to declare to Jacob his transgression,
to Israel his sin.

The empowerment of the Spirit makes all the difference.

And as I said I prefer reconciliation to digging more pits with reports! So an olive branch is on the table if you are interested:groupray: . If you are not inerested then bless you and all the best:thumbsup: . We should start acting like born again believers and not need to be modded like a kintergarten group.

OK. Now that we've established that Lismore doesn't know what is meant by "essentials of the faith", do you?

This is the one in question. This post didnt come over very nice. if you didnt mean it that way, then I forgive you. But Lismore does know the essentials of the faith:wave:. So far no-one I know of has read that comment and said it was a comment in love meant to build folks up................a few have said what I thought it meant.

Hi, Liz, Just wanted to say I believe Mike was saying that hebrews 6:2 was referring to water baptism only, and not to the baptism with the holy Spirit.

I disagree with him , because in the Gospels, John the baptist says that he baptizes with water, but one is coming who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire, and that word "baptize" used twice in the same verse, is the very same greek word.

By the way, I ask Mike earlier what he had against Hagee, and he said he already answered that, do you know where it is ?

Hey mike:wave:

You dislike John hagee because of 'Christian Zionism'?

Are we not called to even love the dust and stones of Zion?

Psalm 102:

13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion,
for it is time to show favor to her;
the appointed time has come.

14 For her stones are dear to your servants;
her very dust moves them to pity.
15 The nations will fear the name of the LORD,
all the kings of the earth will revere your glory. 16 For the LORD will rebuild Zion
and appear in his glory (some versions have For the Lord will rebuild Zion and then suddenly appear in his glory).

*MOD HAT*

Hello All,

I am helping out in this forum and have seen a flurry of reports form this thread. So for now it is being closed for Staff Review.

/MOD HAT

A new command I give you , Love one another as I have loved you ~ Jesus circa 33 CE

BenAdam has a pretty cool stick you could go around wacking people with. He won't let me borrow it, but I bet he would you. (Being a mod and all).

I could be like a mod helper or something. Get the stick from BenAdam and I'll go around wacking everybody for you. That could work! :D :D :D
