What is it about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that you dont think is for today?

If there is more than one telling you this then it is wise to examine yourself and see if unintentiuonally your words are promoting this concept, again i say you and not us. This is not the first time I have noticed you being accussed this way so it might be worth examining. Perhaps with someone you trust to judge fairly.

And, under normal conditions, I'd agree with you.

However, for all of their whining about what a "bully" and "false teacher" I am, no one has been able to give an example of anything I've taught that was no in accordance with the Bible, and the only three examples of my "bullying" weren't bullying at all. One of them wasn't even addressed to anybody, so I have no idea who I was supposed to have been "bullying" there.

The bottom line is this: it doesn't matter how many people claim something if none of them can show that it actually happened.

So far, nobody has been able to show that I've taught heresy or bullied anyone, so the accusation is completely worthless and without merit.

The truth is, this is a forum where emotion takes precedence over doctrine. It doesn't matter how Biblical your point is, if you dare to question somebody's favorite teacher or pet doctrine, Bible be damned, they're going to attack you.

Are you going to explain now that doctrine you said on why the church today is not practising the right Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

In fact, this passage isn't even referring to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as it's commonly practiced in the church today.

Can anyone explain to me what I did to get called a non- Christian and get put on iggy by mikem?

If he didnt want to answer that question about the Holy Spirit baptism, all he had to do was say. Its not a big deal to me............

if you can manage to have a civil discussion with the gentleman in question...............write a book. You'd have a gift.

Now, as to the importance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I would say that if Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit and he did, then receiving the Holy Spirit must be pretty important. As essential for the empowered Christian life?
