I know this is a touchy subject - but please explain-Pentecostal/Charismatic Only

Homosexuality is a dead horse, why go on beating it? It's not like people are going to change their minds about it, and I guess the strict rules are to keep us from flooding every single thread with homo debate.

I'm tired of the arguing. But I'd really like to know WHY everybody MUST have an opinion on it.

i agree...we deff. need acknowledge the fact that homosexuality is a sin...How can we as christians be comfortable with ourselves if we dont post these controversial threads to shine light on the subject....Blocking theses threads that say homosexuality is wrong makes it look like we're wrong in thinking that....is this what we want....do we want people to think its ok to be homosexual....i know i don't ....i can't feel comfortable with just sitting back and being complacent while there are many people who are walking around thinking this lifestyle is ok.....Yes God loves homosexuals...God loved lucifer too, but he still cast him out of heaven...

True but saying 'Homosexuality is a sin' is like printing bank notes on only one side.

Homesexuality is a sin but in Jesus there is forgiveness from every sin and freedom from their power.

i agree there is forgiveness for every sin, but we have to repent form that sin to be forgiven and to repent means to turn away.

To answer the question in the OP...

Certain topics have proven time and again to always create a lot of turmoil. The threads invariably deginerating into chaos and spawn spin-off threads that just multiply the chaos. In order to allow discussion of these topics, yet maintain the peace of the forum, a place was set up where they can be discussed and rules set in place to keep the discussion on topic rather than becoming personal.

I guess it makes sense, but it seems a shame to separate off homosexuality and make that one we cannot debate.

It seems to be pandering to the world that says that this is the sin that is actually ok, or - God forbid - even an expression of love.

There's no problem with debating the subject of homosexuality. It is simply required that you back up your arguement with some type of source, be that Scripture, science, Church Tradition, etc. rather than making it a personal thing.

This is a congregation specific area: only Pentecostal/Charismatic members can post here. The exception to this is staff. Please report any post by a non Pentecostal/Charismatic as CPE staff can not always tell by faith symbol.
