I know that I'm not a father yet but I hope to be one one day and a friend of mine told me something of fatherhood I never thought about. We should look at fatherhood in a Christian way. God is our father who loves His children every much even though they disobey Him. When a child disobeys his/her father, the father loves them very much and wants them to grow to be wonderful adults just like God wants us to grow into wonderful Men and Women of God.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I only partially understood how God could have those feelings until I became a parent. It's just this kind of love that is so powerful. If God truly feels that for each one of us (and I believe he does) how indredible is that?? Makes me want to be a better person.

I am not a father yet either 
but parenting is amazing! It really gives you so much more of an idea of how God must feel about us! You take such delight in such small things!
