  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A fellow who got married recently. But ever since he got married I have been having nightmares about him. You know, the intense kind where you wake up crying in tears. This has happened 3 days in a row now. I can't seem to have a positive experience sleeping. It's starting to make me sad and depressed.

I haven't had nightmares in years, so, I don't know what to make of this honestly.

Does GOD still send people dreams from time to time? Do those dreams have any meaning behind them? I thought that might have stopped with the prophets of old, but now I am not so sure. Does God still communicate with people through the use of dreams today like he did thousands of years ago?

Aside from praying that these dreams go away, how would you say I should deal with them? Yes, I do want them to go away. Don't know how to get rid of them though to be honest.

I didn't know which forum to stick this post in, so I stuck it here. If it doesn't belong here, simply move it somewhere else.

I guess the first question would be, what was your past and now current relationship with this fellow ? I frequently have dreams about my X boyfriend even though we haven't been together for over 25 years. Some, I would consider a nightmare, some, are OK. But I always question why!! I did leave him abruptly, hurt him and got married myself but deep down I believe I treated him with disrespect. Maybe that's why he is always in my dreams, I feel guilty.
Anyhow, I have no idea what your background is with this fellow if any at all. But am guessing there is some kind of connection.. Just want to share my experience, i don't read anything into it other than my own actions that probably hurt him.
Thanks for sharing.I too am not sure if this is the proper forum for this topic.

Be blessed

A few years ago, I began to have recurring dreams about a former supervisor, whom I have not seen in over 15 years. She is also a Christian. After experiencing these dreams multiple times, I decided to pray for her and her family. When I consistently included them in my prayers, the dreams ceased; however, whenever I stopped praying for them, the dreams would resume. As a result, I concluded that it was important to make her and her family a part of my daily prayers.

I had a college roommate named Chris, and we were close friends until he wronged me and our friendship ended. After nearly a decade with no contact, I began to dream about him repeatedly. My wife, knowing I was still hurt and angry, suggested I call Chris and ask him to forgive me, even though I felt he was at fault. I refused her advice.

I continued to dream about Chris for another two or three years until, one day, I decided to call him and ask for his forgiveness. Although we are no longer close friends and have not seen each other since that phone call, we occasionally exchange emails and send well wishes during the holidays. Interestingly, the dreams ceased after I reached out and asked his forgiveness. Years later, I understood that God wanted my heart to be clean and pure, as suggested in Matthew 5:23-24.
