Hey guys. I just have to share this with ya. Praise God, I was one of the finalists in the Praize Christmas writing contest (adult fiction short story catagory). I can't believe it, I'm so shocked, thrilled, and blessed.

I just pray I can parlay this into some credibility when I try to get my novel published...

What kind of story is it.... can you give us the summery of the story?

Thank you so much for your encouragement guys (and gals ). I give all credit to God and pray that He uses this story to touch somebody. The few people I know of who read it said they were touched, but family and good freinds tend to say that about everything I write.

Well, the summary is this: Sometimes Angels Don't Have Wings is about a man who realizes that his wife's dying wish was for him to accept Jesus years after she died.

BTW--I'm still writing--I'm trying to finish a novel that I've spent nearly 5 years working on (boy, has God taught me a lot about writing in those 5 years).

My novel is fairly straightfoward story about earthly status versus spiritual condition, choosing between God and man. It's the story of a backslid Christian who falls in love with a new believer and is forced by her faith to examine his own life and renounce his job, which causes him to be marked for death.

It sounds cheesy, but I think it works.
