U.2.k the greatest you said all video games have violence in them i dont think so. What is so wrong in destroying evil thing in games. Most video games you play are basically the point where you are trying to get rid of the evil force by using the good side. I know i have played final fantasy games and i want to play the lord of the rings games. What is wrong trying to get rid of the evilness in the game. I know the Final Fantasy games doesnt show blood and guts either.

Actually I do understand the intended sentiment behind this thread and agree in principle. SOmething that is "wrong" is "wrong" whether you are a child or an adult. v.true.

However to say that all "adult games" are wrong is simply silly.

There are many "adult activities" that you would not allow a child to do, but this does not make them wrong for an adult.

Knives? Would you let a child use them? A nice big hunting knife? NO! So is it wrong for an adult to use one? NO!

Sex. (the obviouse). Not for children, but neither is it wrong for adults. (within the right biblical confinds).

Driving! Is it evil for an adult to drive a car? NO! SHould a child drive one? NO!

I could go on and on and on and on with examples of things that, as a child, you should not do, but as a responcible adult, it is ok.

So, with "art immitating life" the same rules apply. A game/video/TV prog that depicts or discusses things from "the adult world" is NOT suitable for children, but at the same time, is not "wrong" for adults.

As always on these "what games should we play" topics: Use your comman sence and the convictions that God gives you. The hard thing is often hearing the answer from God that you "dont want" rather than the one you "do want". ...but that's life.

Thats all i was trying to say from the start. I would never tell anyone to stop playing games with violence, cause i play all types of games. Grand theft auto, GORE, serious sam 1 and 2 ,mortal kombat, etc. I have over 120 pc games, so you know......

But I'm sorry but the opening of this thread was cleary saying that Adults cant tell kids not to play Adult games without being hypocryts. (in my words not yours ) I disagree. (see my post above)

For one then why didnt u say that from the start. You know if you would have said that ppl wouldnt have gotten so irrated by your thread. Two i think u knew that and u didnt say it cause u wanted to cause some trouble. 3 then why did u post what u did. What u are saying now is totally different than what you started to say in the first place. Get its straight its one or another and you have no right to say what is bad for us and whats not when u play games yourself that are so violant what was your point of your post.
