• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I wish both of you the best of luck. I've tried so many times and it's so difficult. Praying for you both!
If I can do it,anyone can because Im Mr lazy:blush: I was quite humbled by you praying for us because I still fight the initial 'just one' syndrom but Im honestly staying smoke free after all my adult life saying..I just cant. So,here I turn the prayer wheel around and pray for you HalifaxH. and wait to see if the smoke signal prayers happen for you. And Grvsend:prayer: is it leaving your thoughts to smoke yet? Keep posting, especially when the addiction rises, just run here and say you need prayer.Smokes are mean killer little sticks that do us in.why cant they make "heavenly smokes" haha:p maybe in heaven, huh? right!:groupray: anyone trying to quit email me and we'll prayer line together.

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Remember where your help comes from and that this is not a struggle that you have to go through alone. I have to remind myself of this constantly as I struggle with my weight.

Yeah it is hard, it is so hard! I started smoking while I was in high school and it was easy to stop b/c I was only 17 and I couldn't by them so we just got them from friends. But as soon as I turned 18 it was all over. I stopped for a few months then started again, I have not smoked in 5 months. I have found that if you pay for gas at the pump you don't have to go in and you don't see them and you ask for them. I will keep you in my prayers, it is hard but you can do it!
