Hi, my user name is 2tired2floss, and I chose that handle because I am (maybe I should try flossing in the mornings when I'm wide awake and full of energy, instead of procrastinating until bedtime). Anyway, I decided to sign up because this past week I have heard a couple of things on Christian radio stations that puzzled me, and I'd like to get the board's opinion about these various matters of theology. Of course, this particular post is not the place to pose my questions - I'll do that later in (hopefully) the appropriate forum - but I just wanted to say "hi" and that I am excited to have found this website.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

, welcome to CF! Sounds like you are on the right track by looking for the appropriate place to pose these theology matters. There are many sections where questions are asked and answers with much discussion, debate, etc. Happy exploring!
