I hope this doesn't make me weird or something...

So, I was in the grocery store today with my mom and we were getting stuff for enchiladas tonight (mmm!). A couple minutes after we entered, an Amish family came in the store. So I thought "oh, cool, Amish people" and went on with my business.

Well the whole time we were all in there our two families (me and my mom, and the Amish people) were ALWAYS in the same aisle. Or they'd go in one aisle and we'd end up in the same one a few moments later. I kept feeling like we were following them, but I swear we weren't!!

Anyways, the point of this thread is that I kept noticing the older son. I have NO idea why, but I just kept catching his eye. And I kept feeling like I was being watched. Now, here's where it gets a little weird: He was actually really good-looking. Now, I wasn't lusting, not at all, but I do know a good-looking man when I see one. He was tall, muscular, and very respectable towards his sisters and mother, and he didn't have a beard! LOL

And then I felt really weird. Like, I don't know. I felt like I was being a creeper or whatever because I found this Amish dude to be a little cute. Is that like, odd or whatever?? I mean, I wasn't lusting but like.. I don't know. I had this odd feeling that like, for some reason I shouldn't be thinking he was attractive.

Anyways. There's really no point to this thread, I just thought I'd share a little bit about my odd life. ^_^

I know what you mean. :) And no, I don't think you're weird. :p

I was at a Matisyahu concert once and just fell all over myself with the experience. I was fixated on him... and the music/experience. :sorry: But, talk about a fruitless crush!!!

I was like
Hahaha, well I can understand that. Matisyahu is a very good-looking man!! I probably would've been in the same position you were. Haha ^_^

((And speaking of "fruitless crushes", don't even get me STARTED on Hugh Jackman!!))

ROFL!!!! :sput: Yes!!!! What's great about him is that he not only looks like that, but didn't he end up marrying an "average-looking" woman? And now they have some babies together??

I don't think you're weird. Some Amish guys are hot.

There's a lot of estrogen flying around in this room. I better tone it down. *does an armpit fart* There, that should enough boyishness in here to make it survivable.

As for normal, yes, I think it was normal....at least the finding him attractive part. Lots of people can look attractive, attractiveness isn't necessarily based on religious beliefs. Though if you know he doesn't have the same values as you, then it's probably not worth your time to enjoy your infatuation, heh.

Thanks for the testosterone. I think we needed it! :p

And I wasn't infatuated by any means. I don't know why I thought it was weird. I guess because you never really hear about anything like that. When you think Amish people, most people automatically imagine some hairy, sweaty man... which, isn't all that attractive. (At least to me. :))

Except for those youngin's forced to do all that physical labor which happens to give them musculs, and you know how da ladies luv their musculs.

And on that note, I'll be working on promoting the non-muscular men, because once we come back in power, hooopla! I'll have plenty of attention. :p

Balugon,
Don't get me wrong. Muscles aren't all they're cracked up to be. There's a fine line between "nice" and "okay, you can stop working out now. it's a little gross." hahahaha

And there's nothing wrong with non-muscular men!

Yea, guys do have it a little easier I suppose. Women seem to be a bit more lenient. As well, I was thinking "college guy who uses the gym" amount of muscle, not "Bodybuilding is my life!" kinda muscle. I doubt most women want to date a guy who can't even scratch his own back.

you are such an awesome addition here girl! seriously!
and i dont think that's odd at all! sometimes i find men attractive and i'm not sure why but they have something magnetic about them that makes it impossible to ignore.

i love when that happens.

i was at a concert a couple weeks ago. the guitar player was this bulky/stocky guy with dreads and eyeliner on. tattoos covering his arms and neck and he was not what i would generally find attractive. but i could hardly look at anyone else during the show. and afterwards when i got to shake his hand and hug him i couldnt really even concentrate. he was awesome. and he signed my shirt & gave me a free cd. : )

ps.
matisyahu = handsome man. i adore him.
pss.
hugh jackman = *swoon.* *drool.*
