This time chocolate laced pecan sounds good along with a cup of chai.

Anyhow. . . . .

The big college bowl games are coming up this weekend. Which one interests you most:

USC vs. Texas (Rose Bowl for National Championship)

or

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame (Fiesta Bowl - 2 really big teams who rarely play each other)

I was angry because God didn't consult me befor he made any decisions regarding my life. *hmph*

,A wee little thing like cancer transfomed me from a rootbound, grumpy stump of questionable origin to a joyously blooming, fruit bearing child of God.

It sounds like you have come full circle into spiritual maturity. So what do you like to do for fun?

... well, I'd say it's still an ongoing thing ... I mean the spiritual maturity.

What do I do for fun? I write poetry ... and when the muse is on strike I do silly stuff like ... well ... just go check out my blog ....

It would probably be about writing poetry. Some how to's on writing structured poetry as well as discussions on some of my favortite poets ... with samples of poetry, of course.

Yeah ... grow some hair. Last summer I had chemotherapy for breast cancer and my hair just started growing back the end of October. It's still 'mouse butt fuzz', but I've colored it auburn. ... It almost looks like human hair

um ... don't waste so much time feeling sorry for yourself. No matter how bad things get you have to stay focused on the fact that God loves you and everything he allows to enter your life will only be for good to those who love God. Stay focused on that and you will be amazed at how easy it is to face even the worst circumstances.

... that, and the best way to combat the blues (when they DO get you down) is to do something nice for someone else. Works every time

What I'm asking is Do you think God ever punishes people or "humbles" them if you prefer for disobedience as was indicated in the Old Test? OR does Just "everything happen for good"?

Actually, I think the verse says "everything works out for the good of those who love God" ... I'm going to have to look that up, but I'm at work right now and can't. I'll tackle that as soon as I get home if I can get on the Computer. What it means to me is that even tho things are bad in this life it all works to make su stronger and richer in Him. I think that people who don't love God have any desire to be better people according to what God desires.

... so I guess to answer your question. God rescues those who love him from eternal punishment which we are all destined for because of our sinful natures. The rescue is due to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those of us who really understand what that is about are humbled by God's infinite love and love Him back in return.

Do you have a "fun" vice? For example - I like fancy coffees, in the summer there's nothing better than those frozen coffee slushes. In the winter I love the lattes (my current favorites hot buttered toffee and s'more mocha).

I have several ... one of them is message boards

I like Starbucks ... seldom the cold drinks tho. I like a tall non-fat cafe mocha no whip ... sometimes a double ... that's double espresso in my tall non-fat cafe mocha no whip

another one is dark chocolate ... but I've kind of lost the taste for that since the chemo ... now I like any kind of chocolate with nuts and/or caramel

... that's all I can think of right now ... it's bed time.

... oh, in real life you mean? ... I'm working to get some major stuff done before the end of the month ... and I have a bunch of doctors appointments next week, so that will be loads of fun .... I may be working on Saturday to get all this stuff done! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
