Hello Everyone:

I joined this forum because I have many questions. I'm researching for a bible study I'm writing and thought this would be a good place to get honest answers. Following are the questions, if you have time to answer them honestly, I'd really appreciate it. Your essay type answers may eventually be used in the Bible study I am writing.

If you decide to answer these questions, thank you in advance. Just be honest about your feelings and when you've finished you can PM your answers to me.
Following are the questions
____________________________________

1. Talk about your childhood Christian education. Did you grow up in a church?

If so, what type of church?

What were you taught about the Bible?

What were you taught about God?

2. As an adult do you belong to the same type of church you grew up in?

3. How have your views of God changed?

4. Describe God by finishing the following sentence:
God is ________________________________________________.

5. Define God's place in your life by finishing the following sentence:

When I think of God I feel ____________________________.

6. What do the following Bible verses mean to you?

Psalm 33:8-19

Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.

The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples.
The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.

The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all humankind.
From where he sits enthroned he watches all inhabitants of the earth -
He who fashions the hearts of them all, and observes all their deeds.
A king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered b his great strength.
The war horse is a vain hope for victory, and by its great might it cannot save.
Truly the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,
To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

1. Yes, protastant, to believe in it fully, that God loves us and forgives us if we ask him to.

2.no

3. I have a more spiritual connection, like I know he is always there 24/7, in good and bad times.

4. God is my best friend and father.

5. when I think of God I feel safe and blessed.

6. God is so much more than we are, we are to him as an ant is to a person, he sees the big picture, we cannot. He loves us very much, and we need to love him back!

7a. God is all powerful and in control of all.
We are not all powerful, we make plans but they are only fullfilled if it is Gods will.

7b. God trusted us, we screwed up.
People still screw up everyday, so trust in God, not in man.

7c. ??????????????
Sibling rivalry.....

7d. Trust God, don't care what people think about you.
Admitting you are a Christian, even though so many people are into the whole Darwin thing, and not caring what they think about your faith.

8. Abortion...
I am pro life, people want babies, adoption is the way to go, if you don't want the child, someone else does.
Infidelity..
So many people seem to think its ok to cheat on your spouse, because society makes it look acceptable in the media, I believe what the Bible says, not people. Cheating has so many reprucussions... physically (STDS), emotionally (trust), spiritually (yeah you need forgiveness from the big guy for that). Marriage is great why ruin it?

9. Genocide needs to be stopped. God created everyone for a purpose.

10. Hormones and pesticides in food. Organic is the way to go! Thats how God did it!
