I understand it can be hard to believe, before I was a agnostic/ashiest/skeptic. I do not believe making religious lies in order to convey people to believe is any good, but in fact bad and horrible. Faith should be built up on truths not lies.
I came across a occultist, I am not too sure who they are. But I was shown a occult ring he was wearing and immediately I was confused and had felt almost forced to turn away. I could not physically look at the symbols on the ring. I have never in my life been dazed by a symbol.
At night when I went to bed I have undergone sleep paralysis. And I decided to pray heavily and sleep paralysis have went away completely. It is hard to explain but it has felt as some kind of force was pushing itself against my body repeatedly.
I could not speak during the paralysis, but I was trying to say Jesus name. Trying to think of him, and when I could finally utter the words I was suddenly able to open my eyes.
It's very hard to explain how a object and symbols could force me to turn away and I have never experienced such confusion and dazing from something so seemingly simple.
