The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Yes, you have sinned, but God has already forgiven you of that sin- what you have to do now is decide whether you are going to continue living in it. You can choose not to- God has given you the gift of the Holy Spirit, who can and will fill you with His presence and power, power enough to resist the temptation of sin and free you of it. I should know- he did it for me!

Prayer and the Scriptures as a daily habit are essential to thinking and living in a God honoring way, by His grace. Faith in Christ and in His finished work at the Cross is the desired result of diligent searching of the Scriptures.

And? Do the Scriptures say that you are only forgiven for a sin if you don't do more than twice? Christ died so that ALL your sins would be forgiven -not some, not half, not just the ones you felt sorry for, all of them. You ARE forgiven and God DOES love you, just as he loves me and everyone else on this planet. Don't get down on yourself just because you forgot who you are! Go to God and talk to Him, read His Word and see what it has to say about you. Don't let your past define you.
