I have a technical question regarding MP3s

Okay -

I was on the Lingonere site earlier and I saw that they are offering an MP3 player for sale there that has a ton (and I mean a ton) of resources from R. C. Sproll already downloaded onto it. It looked to me like it was a great tool for study, research, etc. - however I have no idea how they work. I mean - can you download material directly from your computer to the MP3 player or is there something I'm missing. I have never used an MP3 player so any info ya'll could share would be great. Thanks!

Yes you can download mp3s or audio files in other formats from your computer to the iPod. Check out Apple's iPod page for more info.

You need to make sure that your computer and the MP3 player and the software that controls the downloads are compatible, and that you have the same type of connection, between the two. Most are USB of some type. If you can give specifics about your computer and the mp3 player you're considering I can give you more detailed information. My son just picked up an iPod for his Titanium Powerbook. It holds 40 gigs of info an ran something like $499.
