I can't seem to walk into a church without feeling like I just got set on fire. I wonder who this is that is trying to draw me away? Is it Satan warning me to leave that place, or is it God saying I am not welcome? This has been an ongoing problem I have had. People have told me it is the Holy Spirit cleansing me of demons. Others have told me that it is Satan trying to pull me closer to him by making me think God doesn't want me. Others have called me a failure of a human being who deserves to die. Someone else even called me a Christian Troll. I don't know what to believe...

Can someone help me? This is really pulling me closer to Father Satan... I don't know what to do... My family is Christian. My mother and grandmother even take me to church occasionally. They can never understand why I double over in agony all the time. :( And they can never know. They will threaten to disown me like they did when they found my Satanic Bible.

No, you don't sound like a nutcase. Unfortunately far too many people come to this forum to waste christians' time. People are understandably skeptical when they read messages like yours. Your online name only adds to that. However... giving you the benefit of the doubt - do you want to continue in Satanism or do you really want to get "out"? There are plenty of christians who have left Satanism by the way.

All christians leave the world of darkness and enter into God's world of light when they become christians and leave their old life behind - that can be any religion ranging from atheism, Satanism, American Idolism, materialism, NFLism - anything.

Ephesians 2: 1 (A)In the past you were spiritually dead because of your disobedience and sins.2 At that time you followed the world's evil way; you obeyed the ruler of the spiritual powers in space, the spirit who now controls the people who disobey God.3 Actually all of us were like them and lived according to our natural desires, doing whatever suited the wishes of our own bodies and minds. In our natural condition we, like everyone else, were destined to suffer God's anger.
4 But God's mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great,5 that while we were spiritually dead in our disobedience he brought us to life with Christ. It is by God's grace that you have been saved.6 In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up with him to rule with him in the heavenly world.7 He did this to demonstrate for all time to come the extraordinary greatness of his grace in the love he showed us in Christ Jesus.

Where it comes to the sensations of fire - God is not evil. He is holy, merciful, loving to all who come to Him. Those feelings are not from Him.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.

I wouldn't be surprised if any spirits that you have allowed into your life harass you whenever you go into a christian environment. A nasty reminder of the etenity of suffering they are destined to for rebelling against God.

I'm not quite sure what I want to do. That's why I came here. I feel as though I have done far too much in the name of Satan for God to ever accept me. I feel as though I have far too much evil within me to even be saved. And I'm sorry about the name... I use it on just about everything I'm on.

It could very well be the spirits, but whatever it is don't let it win. Let's think about this. If it is

A. Satan trying to keep you out of Church of course he wants you to turn around

B. A Cleansing of the Holy Spirit than you are being made renewed by God

God is love, and He isn't going to reject you if you believe. I would come to my knees and pray for Jesus to enter your heart.... and watch how your life transforms

God Bless

But... What if I have done far too much blasphemy to ever be accepted at a church? :(

One of (if not THE) key writers of the new testament was Paul. Before he became God's apostle, He killed and persecuted Christians. If Christ worked on His heart, He can work on yours.

God is moving right now.... The Holy Spirit is knocking on the door to your heart and it's time to answer the call my friend.

Darkness cannot stand Light.

I am one that sees a post like yours and thinks - ugh, who is this, trying to bait us..? As joey said earlier, I will also try giving you the benefit of the doubt.

It is quite natural for evil spirits to have an adverse reaction to the Holy Spirit. I don't think it's God rejecting you; the Bible says that God "loved" the world; that's why He sent His son - not to condemn people, but to save them, to rescue them from darkness and bring them to light.

This story from the Bible comes to mind from Mark 5:
2 When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him.... 6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. 7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”

The story ends well; Jesus casts the impure spirits out of the man - but the point is that the demons were tortured by the presence of Jesus, and likely the man felt this torture, perhaps as a burning sensation, perhaps in some other way.

Also, the Bible in several places calls God a "consuming fire" - and His holiness does burn away what is not holy. If you do not want "out" of Satanism or Wicca or whatever you're into, then you will likely continue to feel this "agony" every time you are around true Christians, particularly when they are worshiping. If you want to be free, you must pray, and God will make a way for you to be free. For this freedom you must give up any ties to any other religion or spiritual alliance and receive the Holy Spirit.

Once we have been rescued out of the kingdom of darkness, we find ourselves in fellowship and friendship with the King and Father of Light.

I'm also another one who is skeptical of the feeling of actual fire. The feeling of extreme heat and the need to get out would make more sense to me, but I'll assume your telling the truth.

As someone else said, it isn't because you are too sinful. Paul persecuted and killed the new Christians before he became one of the greatest Christians ever.

I have no idea if this feeling is cause by good, evil, or your own body. Personally I have never experienced a demon, only God and myself.

I would suggest that whatever the cause, there is a problem the cure is repentance and turning towards God.

Far enough about the name. I have used "joey" on several forums.

If any person is truly honest with themselves they know that they have done too much wrong and sinned too much for a holy God to accept them.

You know that Ephesians passage I quoted? These verses follow straight after:
Ephesians 2: 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

grace, in Christian theology, the free favor of God toward humans, which is necessary for their salvation. A distinction is made between natural grace (e.g., the gift of life) and supernatural grace, by which God makes a person (born sinful because of original sin) capable of enjoying eternal life. In general, the term grace is restricted to supernatural grace, usually considered as the keystone of the whole Christian theological system.
grace, in Christian theology

In response to God's incredible mercy and love christians turn away from sins and turn towards God. Did you know that in the Ephesian church a lot of people turned away from witchcraft? Here is the whole chapter. Acts 19

Acts 19:17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. 18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done. 19 A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.[c] 20 In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.

I was in church today I had a vision, actually I had 2. I was thinking about demons myself and oppression. I pictured a shield around me caused by God and demons being repelled and unable to touch me.. welcome to Christianity. We take nonsense from the dark. God answers to no demons. If God is a part of us who can be against us.

God is really big and the forces of darkness really small in comparison. In terms of world religions 2/3 of the world claim Christianity. It is like that because God is real. not belonging to God is batting for the losing team.
When you meet Jesus and the holy spirit the void in you will be filled with love. The burden of guilt you cary can be lifted and put on Jesus.
lay that burden and guilt at the foot of the cross of Jesus and he will deal with it for you.. forever.

Think of stepping into Christianity much like getting into a shower. Nobody expects you to have had a bath prior to getting into a shower. You clean up in the shower. when you get in the shower the impurities begin to wash away and you feel clean.
Jesus loves you as you are , he made you but wants more for you. anything you feel oppressing you cannot stand against the force behind God.
Love conquers all. God is love and can change your life forever as it did mine and most of the people on this board. we are here because knowing Jesus as lord and savior is wonderful experience.

the second vision I had- A dark haired girl, short hair with brown eyes. I saw her body glowing white her aura was bright white. Then I saw a white dove come on her head as she was in bed laying there. For the first time the holy spirit came upon this girl and claimed her. It was a nice sight.

MY DEAR SISTER,

If you are REALLY sorry about the name . . . CHANGE IT! The names we pick to identify ourselves are based primarily on how WE see ourselves. For you, at this particular point in time, this self-description is negative--because that is the way you presently see yourself.

Your task, if you desire change and a consequential cessation of self-doubt and confusion, is to begin to SEE YOURSELF AS GOD SEES YOU--as His perfect and infinitely beloved child.

In His GREAT LOVE FOR YOU, God will forgive ANYTHING you ask Him to--ANYTHING you are willing to confess, turn from, and change. Try starting with your "name."

GOD LOVES YOU--BE BLESSED!

I am going to try and make this simple.

Your not a satanist; your a very unhappy kid who is looking at what you imagine this to be because something has happened to challenged your presumptions about Christ.

Its not that unusual to re-examine beliefs and question what you really think is truth between the ages of 14-19.

BTW- Laveys stuff is about the most trite and plagerised version of the pirate yarn Redbeard on the current market. It really is not the empitomy of darkness altrhough leaving a copy about is a good way to rag Christian parents into a reaction. There are better ways of asking your parents to start talking to you and if your parents are not the ones able to answer you about the bits where theology and mans ideas of God meet try chatting to a yoputh pastor or even a pastor with a good grasp of theology and an abilty to think critically rather than onewho is simply doctrinal. There are some good youth pastors and pastors out there if you take the time to look.

Reading a copy of lavay and using the name 'satan' is easy. Anyone can do it but it does not make you a satanist.

My husband often says "Christianity is not a duelistic religion" in other words - good and evil, God and Satan, they are NOT equal.

God is all powerful, omnipotent, omnipresent, eternal God, Satan can only ever be at best a servant. What God says goes - read the book of Job, Satan made Job's life hell, but he could only go as far as God would allow him to, and no further.

Its the same with us - God is in control, not Satan. Jesus said dont be afraid of those who can kill be body (other people, sometimes used by Satan), but be afraid of the One (God) who can kill both body and soul.

God will always accept you, no matter what you have done, he loves you, he says he knit you together in your mothers womb, he knows you better than you know yourself. All you have to do is ask.

Confess your sins to God, repent, that is turn away from you previous life and be free, and then where ever you go and whatever building you go into you will not have these feelings.

Paul said "we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us". To often we see the things we have done or said or messed up at and think we can never change, but this simply isnt true. With Gods help we can and we do.

You'll notice everybody has said something in common? That God does not reject you, and you have not done anything He isn't willing to forgive. If you are sincere in what you post, you need real help. This is the type of thing why I don't care what mockers and scoffers say, nor do I care about those who argue theological points. When it comes to POWER, Truth becomes evident.

It is Jesus that saves! You need to put yourself right int he middle of people who KNOW Him, and cry out for help, to escape what little glimpse you've seen of satan's future. You already know you want nothing to do with it.
