  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have been out of high school for a year and am going to head off to college in september.
But.. my dorm room has no internet..
Does anyone have any ideas about how to maybe get internet in there without drilling any holes..

It would just be nice to be able to do research after the computer lab closes.

what do you mean no internet? where is your campus located? in the middle of the desert?

also, look into wireless. you could be on a wireless campus.
Yes, wireless will be your friend. Just make sure you use the college's network and not some poor slob's who doesn't know how to secure his connection. IMO that is stealing.

Hear, hear.

Pretty much just a place to find someone to marry.

Unless your college actually supplies internet in your dorms, it's unlikely they will allow you to set up your own.
If someone manages to set up a wireless network in the dorms, all the better. We did in our Halls. One of the guys claimed that he needed it for his course, got it installed, and then set up a wireless network. We all paid him to use it every month, and he'd only give out the password (which he changed monthly) to those who had paid him.
Was a good system. Good luck with it.

I am actually very, very excited that it is a bible college. And no, it is not just a place to find someone to marry... that is just an added bonus :p
I am really looking forward to the courses that I am able to take and to the community that this college will offer me.

and I am not in bible college for a "bible degree" I am taking a bachelor of arts in psychology.
Not sure what my opinon on that is. I'm going to Bible college, but I'm majoring in Biblical Studies so I can get a head start on my Masters, and later my Doctorate degree.
