  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So I really, really, really would like a girl friend. But I am afraid. I use to have a horrible, disgusting addiction to pornography, but Jesus blessed me with his warm comfort. As I consider myself cured from that retched part of my life, how do I go about getting a girlfriend while keeping her flesh off of my mind? Its there. I cant lie. Jesus knows and he is helping me work on it. But Jesus is not always around when the earge is strong. Thats when he makes me fight for the light. So... how do I go about this. Do I just ask some girl if she wants to stay in a loud public place where my thoughts to not roam to far? Or what?

Most men, including myself, have struggled with lust or pornography at some point. It's more common than you might think; kudos to you for allowing God to help you through that. You have a wonderful and powerful testimony that the Lord can certainly use to help those struggling with the same thing.

Being out in a pubic place is definitely a great idea, especially for date nights and starting the relationship. Learn to follow Paul's advice and take your thoughts captive. Take it one day at a time and one thought as it comes. Over time God will teach you how to focus on the good and positive things He wants for us. It takes some time but it's certainly doable and you'll be one step closer to be the kind of man God wants you to be.:)
