I have frequent nightmares, I don't sleep sometimes because of them and I'm tired of being hopeless and just having negative intrusive thoughts circle around my head.

I don't think on was ever this bad.

All this stems from being a late bloomer in life and feeling like I have no value or worth... And thinking these thoughts so long finally caught up with me.

Please list practical ways to recover from depression please. Not only that but to accept myself without a degree, still living at home ect... I want to make progress especially with my mind and thoughts ...

I want to be kind to myself.

What helped me deal with my depression is to remember that whatever happened in the past is in the past. We can look back on it but we can't change what happened in our lives. I've had a rough childhood growing up and was "different" than the other kids. I was treated awful. I just pray to God when times are tough and I take deep breaths and say to myself 'this feeling will pass I am worth living'. Then in about 15 minutes all the feelings are gone and I'm back to normal. Hey I still live at home to with my parents there's nothing wrong with that. Trust me everybody is worth something. Everybody has a purpose. I may not know why I'm here but God has something planned for me and he does for you to.
