As I see it, Jesus was not only preaching the bad things of old, he was also preaching redemption. One can be saved; just abide by His instructions, follow His commandments and peace will be your reward.

God’s Chosen People
I have a personal attachment to the Old Testament and the verses contained therein. This includes the verses where the Lord talked directly to the Israelite people. In this one-way discussion where the Lord laid out directives (commandments) for them to follow and the blessing they would get if they followed His suggestions. I took these directives and compared them to historical events (bible verses-&-1947-2019). Personally, I would like to see the Israeli people change their ways by embracing the stranger (Palestinian) and treat them as one of their own, just as the Lord instructed them to do. I truly believe this “example” would create a wave of peace across the middle east.

In closing I want the Israeli’s to embrace the Palestinians as one of their own, dismantle the illegal settlements and change the name of their country from “Israel” to “Palestine”.

I believe God is now judging them for the last time. If they do not ask God for forgiveness and repent for their past deeds; then all will be lost.

I need your help either by helping me or by correcting my misguided view of them.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome whether pro or con.

I don't think the thread should be deleted, it's mildly thought provoking. How God judges Israel is a little beyond me but what you are suggesting doesn't seem to square with reality. There are only two real ways to go, a two state solution that establishes and respects the legal and moral boundaries of both, or a one state solution that will obviously include new settlements in Palestine. I don't know how Palestinians manage a two state solution with Israel right in the middle of the state, that part has always puzzled me. I think they are doomed to live in resentment of one another but one day I hope they will manage to learn to live with one another in peace. It's not that bad right now, perhaps it would be helpful to consider what the two are doing right going forward.

If you can hold off for about 6 hours, I think we will be able to meet for peaceful reasons
I'll do my best but I can't be responsible for my fellow members, good luck.

What happened to Jesus , the Apostles, and the disciples, when they faithfully lived righteous TORAH OBSERVANT lives by grace, through faith, DOing as Jesus said to DO ?

Notice that not since the first century, no, not at all, did this "create a wave (NOR ANY) "peace" across the middle east... (NOR ANYWHERE) " ..

And it is not what Jesus says will happen - rather , IF you HEAR HIS VOICE, TODAY, and DO as HE SAYS, you WILL BE HATED by the world, as the world HATES JESUS.....
and
read further what Jesus says will happen , concerning ALL THE NATIONS gathering together against HIM and HIS ELECT LIVING as HE SAYS , DOing the Word of Yahweh (Not Just Hearing His Word, but BEING DOers also, as He Says)......

We are as sheep, being slaughtered all day long (all over the world).

I believe that everything taught in the NT is based off and in accordance with what what taught in the OT, so I share your appreciation of the OT. In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, everything spoken by God is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, training in righteousness, and equipping us to do every good work, which is primarily referring the the OT Law (Deuteronomy 5:31-33). In many ways, Israelites do embrace Palestinians and Palestinians living in Israel enjoy many freedoms that Israelis living in Arab countries don't enjoy. I especially encourage you to look into what is happening in regard to the fulfillment of the prophecy concerning the Isaiah 19 highway. However, God gave the promised land to Israel, not to Palestinians, so I don't see any grounds for changing the name to Palestine. We all need forgiveness for our past deeds, not just the Israelis.
