If you saw two girls/two guys kiss in public, what is your reaction. I don't mean French kissing or practically having sex in public. I'm fairly sure everyone agrees that would be gross no matter who was doing it. (Keep the serious PDA to the bedroom folks!) I mean just a little peck, holding hands, little things that otherwise, many of us would find absolutely adorable.

I was reading Stephen King's "It", and it got to the part where the guy freaks out and acts like he's practically gone blind because he sees two boys kiss lightly. And I'm just curious if people actually do that. It seems silly to me.

I have way too many Gay friends. I'm Het, but in many social situations I would be hurt to not get the standard hug and kiss. And that means on the lips, not a peck on the cheek, but not a kiss that says anything more than a kiss by my aunt would say.

If people from Western European traditions have problems with a kiss the problem is theirs.

Oh my, I'm afraid that I'm gross then, because I occasionally french kiss in public with my husband. We usually look for a quiet-ish spot to kiss, but sometimes people do pass us. Well, they can look away if they don't like what they see.

It doesn't bother me when other people do the same as we do.

As an aside, Morcova, I'd say there's nothing wrong with finding one thing hot and another thing not so much (I find two boys or two girls kissing hot, but not so much a hetero couple), as long as it doesn't lead to judgements like "Girls can have sex with each other but two guys is TOTALLY IMMORAL." We can't help what turns us on, but we can be grown-up enough not to let it cloud our judgement

A couple of summers ago I was on the tube meeting some mates down the park for a kick-about. Anyway, it was pretty quiet that day with only about 2 or 3 other people on my carriage, and a couple of girls got on two stops away from my destination and sat directly opposite me. To my surprise they immediately started french kissing and didn't stop! I had to look away the whole time, not because I was disgusted or anything like that, but because my penis was starting to twitch. Considering I was only wearing shorts and a vest, I would have had no way of concealing an erection so I just stared at my feet whist thinking of my nan, otherwise I probably would have been arrested for indecency on my way out of the station!

But, in answer to the question, I don't have too much of a problem with gays showing affection in public, but perhaps lesbians could show a little more consideration next time they sit opposite me!
