i hate it

I hate my life in high school. high school is just bleh.

why do people dislike me so easily? ever since i first started high school people have seen me as though i am an outsider, someone who doesn't belong here. when i say something i just feel like others don't laugh, they don't find it funny, and they just don't smile. when others don't smile, i'm upset. like what's wrong?

You're putting too much stock into people IMO. Even if people dont like you, you have an obligation as a Christian to love other people as you would yourself. Still treat people as well as you can despite their dislike of you. Also, know in your heart that God and Jesus love you more than everybody who's ever been in your life can combined. Put your stock more in God's love than the love of people. Remember, even Jesus was disliked by people in his lifetime.

Yes, dvdscott is right. I remember a poem my elementary school teacher spoke many, many years ago:

"The thing that means the most in life, in making life worth while;
is nothing more or nothing less than just a pleasant smile".

It really helps in walking among people and in talking to one. It will also give pause for one to talk to you and you can then tell them of the love of God in His beloved Son --the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the best gift one can give to another.
