CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
I hate CF posters.

Not to be a butt or anything, but is it reasonable to post about how much you hate the debates on CF when you are in the Discussion & Debate section. I mean, theres an entire area only for christians, and plenty of places to interact with non-christians but talk about hobbies, entertainment ect. One of the great things about this site is that you can debate if you want or talk about gardening or CSI without debate.
Anyway, I like the debate, that's why I'm in this section. If you don't, check out some of the other stuff CF has to offer.

Your bannana makes me laugh. LMAO. Sorry I couldn't help it. Do you feel concious about being a butt? Whats wrong with posting this here? Is it politically incorrect to start a thread like this. I know you dont really care about my opinion and frankly I dont care about yours. I'm actually calling out to someone who has "an ear to hear" someone besides god who is always silent. Someone with a real voice I can hear and can actually have a one on one conversation. Maybe I should just send Andyman a PM. He was the only undestanding around here anyway.

I understand your complaint and was trying to offer an option to you. There are times when some debates get to be too much for me so I head off to another section of CF, or leave all together for a bit.

I dont go tochurch anymore. I grew tired of their unbiblical doctrine.

You don't need church anyway. If you are a christian still (as your icon says) just read your Bible and pray. The structure of church isn't the important part. You should get that One Year Bible that has the whole thing laid out by date. It makes it really easy.

I'm sorry you're frustrated. Honestly though, in any debate setting (which this is), it's easy to get frustrated. I only come on here occasionally, as eventually I get tired of explaining "my side"... or I get tired simply because I don't have the resources to best refute certain claims against God/Christianity. But, it does challenge me and teach me things. I just don't think it's healthy to "debate" on a daily basis, for a long time. Everyone needs a break.

I have found that letting others (esspecially those on the internet) make you angry only hinders yourself. If you don't like what you read here then there is a simple solution. Don't visit the forums. I pray that you find peace within.
