I had bad thoughts about Jesus

I was laying in bed thinking about how the people in the Old Testament were justified by faith before Jesus and wondered why we need Jesus if they were already forgiven. I had many bad thoughts about Jesus that I do not want to mention. But this stemmed from ignorance of how forgiveness of OT sins worked.

I had asked God for a better understanding and ran into this post where people explain everything, like it was meant for me to see.

What was Jesus’ purpose if sins were forgiven before His Incarnation?

So Jesus is NOT useless, He is very useful and a blessing to all mankind, and I am sorry God for any bad thoughts I had. I repent from these thoughts. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!

Good for you. We need to remember that the OT was God's dealings with the nation of Israel, not the whole world. If Israel could have saved the world, Lord Jesus would not have needed to come. But the blood of animals was never enough to remove sin. Lord Jesus had to come and die so that sin could be removed, not just covered over. And He had to rise again so that we could live. God's plan is that the Universe and heaven should be under the authority of His Son. Lord Jesus is not just useful. He is everything.

Dear brother thinking thoughts about Jesus is not wrong, from not knowing to knowing takes thought.

It is about coming to a right conclusion about our thoughts where the blessing rests. If you think lies about Jesus then you will not serve Him, or know Him rightly, so it is best to check all your thoughts past the word of God. So get to know that!

i found the word to be a watchtower in my life. Each time some wrong thoughts worm themselves into my reality the Word warns me and sets me straight. i will always love Jesus for the safety the word has given me.

Let The word guide you in the Spirit of love for God and neighbour and you will never look back.
