  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I get it all wrong!

Ever since my husband died my life has been up and down with a lot of turmoil and confusion in it. Especially when it comes to new relationships. I pray to God for guidance and direction and try to listen to His still quiet voice but I seem to be getting it all wrong. I use my prayer language, praying in the Spirit and allowing the Holy Spirit to take over when I don't have the words to pray myself. I don't understand that when I pray in this way, I misunderstand what God is saying to me so often. When a person allows the Holy Spirt to take over in prayer, your prayer then comes directly from God. How can it be possible to misunderstand this? I need a lot of help and prayer in this area. Can you help me please?

Just relax. We're human, so we're prone to misunderstanding God. I would say that job number one would be to put 100% of your focus into your relationship with God instead of focusing on new romantic relationships (I'm assuming that's what you meant by relationships...I apologize if I'm assuming incorrectly!). Spend a LOT of time in the Word. He's laid it out right there for you, it's there to understand! =)

Thanks for the advise, Manna. I must have heard God right today, because that's the message I'm getting also.
