i had an ultrasound today to check on the development of the baby, which is good, and i found out that im having a girl

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wanted only boys when I was growing up. I was a tomboy and had no clue what I would do with a girl. When we found out we were having a girl we were in shock but she is the biggest blessing in our life and I wouldn't trade my little girl for the world!

well i wanted a boy, and to be honest i had gotten so worked up over having a boy that i was disappointed when she said it was a girl...but a couple of hours later i was over it...im just happy that she's healthy.

well we originally wanted a girl.... I was afraid of my husbands reaction when it was a boy but it was good. I somehow knew it was a boy because in all of my dreams before that it was a boy....

Im 5 months and last week I had my ultrasound and the doc says "looks like a girl"

I have no idea, I had to go for an ultrasound last week because i was having funny cramps which I thought were in my womb, the ultrasound showed a yoke sack but no foetal echo indicating I was around 5 weeks along, I thought I would be at least 6 weeks. My periods are very irregular and this could affect the timing, I'm not clear how. I've got another ultrasound on friday so I'll find out how far along I am then.

Congrats on the baby girl but i just had to post, i have a taylor and a mackenzie that are twins they are now 7 going on 8....just an observation.
