This prayer request probably sounds petty after reading so many of the other requests here.
I went roller bladeing sunday at a skateing rink, it was only the second time I had gone that I wasn't being held up by someone. Well about an hour into skateing I fell and almost did a complete split (ouch!!!). My left leg went out in front of me, my right leg went backwards and I started to go down. My right knee/leg popped and my leg twisted at the knee and went underneath me and I landed on it with my full weight (220+lbs). I went to the ER monday morning and they put me in a knee imobilizer and told me to see an orthopedic surgeon so I went there yesterday (tuesday). He didn't think anything was torn or broken, just a bad sprain/strain on the ligaments in my knee and told me to come back Monday. I can't walk, I can't drive now, I can't work, My knee hurts really bad, I can't sleep because everytime I move I'm jumping in pain, and I'm going stir crazy here....someone, take me to walmart!
As for the work thing, my short term disability kicked in on the 1st day, so I don't have to worry about anything financially and the company I work for is really cool about it so I have nothing to worry about job wise either, they just told me to get better so I can come back. As long as I have the immobilizer on my leg, I can't work because I can't drive my car or a forklift and even with it off I won't be able to do my full job for a while, but at least I can drive the forklift and do something productive besides sitting here mopeing.
Pray for complete healing in my knee so I can return to work and take care of the things I need to at home without help.
